He's our backup QB and we've actually had worse QBs start games for us in the past. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I actually don't agree, because I don't think Ivory's production has diminished bc of taking hits. I think he needed to get going which is why he was still in there. I also think his lack of production recently has been bc of his reads. I had no problem with it.
I was wondering a similar thing. Why not put Ridley in to finish the game. If he can not help us even on garbage time then why even have him on the roster. Bohanon, although not great, has actually provided some decent blocking that goes largely unnoticed because of our weak OL.
I wanted to see Ridley and Bryce in there. I know Bryce didn't dress. No reason to let Ivory get meaningless carries.
Chris Ivory came down with food poisoning last night...I'd say he played through it quite well. #NYJ — Chris Lopresti (@CLoprestiWFAN) December 13, 2015
Decker returning punts is like Kerley returning punts is like Jimmy Leonhard returning punts. If your GM doesn't bother to buy you a punt returner, your only real option is to put the most sure handed receiver back there and tell him only to run if he sees a hole.
Yeah he's not good at it, but I meant the injury factor to your #2 WR returning punts in a blowout with 3 minutes left, not smart
What other sure handed receivers do we have at this point? Or players period? Stokes is right, you put Decker back there and say "listen motherfucker, stop getting cute and fair catch the fucking ball. You're not Devin Hester."
I definitely felt the same way when I first saw him back there. But I understand the logic behind it. Once he caught it without FCing, I was horrified about the possible consequences.
