i'm not sold, simply because the qb situation is still a wreck. but i do agree that things certainly could break right for this team. all depends on the qb and - as always - the coaching and leadership. who knows.

He is a hard runner... Power run sorta but is fast at the same time pretty deadly combo.

McKnight will be on the Jets. He's a good return man.

That is the same contract the Titans gave Greene.. So not quite starters money..I liked Goodson but I think Ivory is a suckers bet.

they'll both be used a lot. Ivory would be the starter though.

Then why didn't he make more of a difference in New Orleans???

What I remember of him is that he was hurt alot.

I respect all of you guys' opinions about the Jets RBs, but I'm not sold.

To paraphrase Parcells..if you got four RBs, you got none.
I'm sure they will help whomever is the starting QB, but I don't see anyone I want to get excited about.

They all have certain issues that makes me a little queasy about trusting them to be "the guy"

    We'll see...

I believe Ivory will be our main guy, but Goodson's the hands of this RB outfit.

he was brought in to catch in an offense where RBs are likely to be an option to do so.

Either way they are both signed for 3 years. Here's hoping to a good running game next 3 years

I don't get why some fans talk bad about Powell. He held his own very well in his role last year behind a weak line and zero passing game. Not a big time playmaker but very solid in rotation.

Whom ever plays better. The smart money is on the bigger contract (Ivory) but Idzik will not let contract alone dictate who plays. It will really be something to watch this summer.

Jets just signed Ivory to a three year deal worth 10 mil in theory.

Bill Parcells coached in a different era of football when he said that. Stupid quote. RBBC has been a standard of successful franchises for years.

    Here...obvious, but here...

OT: yea yea, havent been here in years yada yada, im not gonna make some stupid bullshit forum post about me coming back, but i did wanna make sure my first quote would be on one of my old fave's <3 ya byz :)....

Anyway whoever is taking BP's quotes seriously now in today's nfl is either smoking crack or spending too much time with junc(love ya junc)..we saw what bills philosophy gets you in recent years with the fish, not to say that hes entirely to blame for anything.

But we all know that there are plenty of teams who go with RBBC, i would think that it would be common knowledge by now, but knowing my beloved fellow greenies im not too surprised.

    Later... (haha)

solid post, that's it in a nutshell. Greene doesnt have the talent of the RB's we have on the roster right now, INCLUDING Joey Mac

Rotate them and Powell. We should run the ball a ton, control the clock. That's what you do without a potent passer.

I really like the trio of Ivory, Goodson and Powell in a WCO.
