So he said about 25 times it was his decision which means maybe it wasn't totally his. He also said the usual Sanchez gives us the best chance to win..etc..etc..etc. What he finished up with was that he thinks the Jets are a very good team and it will show in September.
I fully understand that Sanchez will be utilized as a game manager....and that we're going to be a "run first" team. I'm totally fine with that. But we need to get this kid a deep threat. It would be nice if Clowney turned out to be that guy....but that remains to be seen. Keller is certainly an excellent option as well......but he isn't a burner that can stretch the field and shouldn't be expected to be one.
The Jets actually have a deep threat in Leon Washington. I know it sounds dated but the HB Fly was a huge part of NFL team's arsenals in the 1970's and even into the early 80's and Washington is the perfect kind of back to bring that back for the Jets now. The only backs in the NFL who get this kind of action at this point are Brian Westbrook and Reggie Bush and both of them only get sent deep occasionally. Leon should go deep twice a game. That would push linebackers out of the box some and keep the safeties from creeping up also.
Well, if Kellen doesn't find a destination in the NFL he can surely find a work as The Gortons Fisherman's stunt double
A TALL receiver would really help out a young QB. Tall and fast. Allows for a lot less mistakes when they can go up higher than the defender.
We could still see Clemens, you never know what happens. Sanchez is still a very untested guy, we have to see. Could unfold like the Pat Ryan/Ken O'Brien scenario back in the day.
I hopt his works out, I personally think he should've been eased in to the role. Hopefully he plays lights out, and we have another Flacco/Ryan situation. Think we can get that lucky? History says... Probably not.
i dont know if you are serious are not, but im sure that denver does not want another bonerific qb on there hands
I would expect the offensive line will get more better depth players to protect the investment within the next few years. My other hope is that they bring him up like the Steelers raised Big Ben. Rely on the run and pass when you need to until he's ready to pass more than 15-20 times a game.
Glad he made the decision at this point rather than waiting till preseason was almost over even if I don't agree Sanchez gives us the best chance to win at all. He looks like he has quite a ways to go before he's truly 'nfl-ready' but I'm looking forward to seeing him progress.
That's awesome. Not only did you use the same stupid joke a record second time (yes, you are the first one to call me a "fool" twice!) you also managed to backtrack on what you said, and type like you never passed first grade English! Congratulations on having the worst post in this thread! And a bigger congrats on following it up with the second worst post! Again, stop turning on the Playstation. Madden is ruining your ability to think reasonably.
