It's really sad...

  1. This is a very good point. People assume that when you draft an OL in the first round, the problem or hole is automatically solved. Unfortunately, like any other position..it takes time...especially at LT when you're routinely facing the opposition's best player.

    How can you not?!

I was talking from a historical quirky perspective. Oh, whatever. My humor is often lost. I'm 100 yrs. old and you're 75, so what did I expect.

I never wanted Brick from day one but to call him a bust after game 2 of his sophmore year is just a tad ridiculous or maybe a little more than a tad.

I can't say Ive been paying particularly close attention to D'brickashaw, but the offensive line as a whole has been poor. The fact that he had as hard a time as he did with Jarvis Green makes me think theres going to be real trouble next time the Jets play the Patriots and Richard Seymour is back. My feeling is that the line as a whole has been so terrible that I'm not inclined to give much praise to any member of it.

Still, nobody ever said he was built to handle the big guys, hes built to handle the fast guys. If Jason Taylor has multiple sacks this week, itll be disappointing, but even then, you dont give up on the guy in only his second year. One thing thats worth mentioning (and somebody correct me if Im wrong) is that I don't think hes getting as much TE help as he did last year on his blocking assignments. I'd have to look at some tape to confirm it, but if the staff isn't giving him help anymore, thats a good sign, even if he does get beat from time to time, because it means they see him improving.
