I can't stand people calling out the fans anymore. Most of the people who whine about this shit don't go to the games. Folks, you think it would be hard to get into the game today? The stadium was like 1/4 full. If you care so much, go to the fucking stadium, walk around and ask people for tickets - when the stands are that empty, that means people can't sell their tickets - they will just give them to you. Take the free tickets, sit in the 20 degree weather and enjoy the misery in person if it means that much to you.

It wasn't even about that. People were snowed the fuck in...pure and simple. if this isn't an indication that the Jets fanbase is HUGELY on LI which got socked by this storm I don't know what is. Woody, who are you kidding? You thought the fake jersey fans would prop up that shithole today? No way.

The Philly and Baltimore games should have stayed at 1 and the Jets should have played at 4pm. We got screwed big time here.

the jet crowd in the meadowlands is overall weak compared to other teams. it's that simple. they came out for that pats game but since it has been awful.

I love people who bitch about the stadium being empty and watched the game on tv.

Totally agreed, and its that 1-6 stretch that killed all the fans coming out, if not for a snowstorm this game would of been packed today

While I agree that the fans are whiny and sometimes let the media think for them they still have the right to choose whether or not they want to go to the game.

And some of the smaller crowds can still be loud because on days like today its the diehards who go out there. I have season tickets. I always go to the games but people have the right to do what they want. They pay good money for their seats and if they choose to watch a game at home because of something like the snow then thats their choice.

i love people who bitch about the game when they watched it on tv and could have been there. to those who were physically unable to go because of the storm, this wasnt directed at you. it was to the crybaby fans that say well im glad i didnt go because they sucked. at least youre home instead so that you can bitch about sanchez or the defense from your computer.

I think you're all missing the point here. When Bear Grylles is out of water and food, does he whine about it? Of course not. He drinks water out of elephant crap and eats apples out of bear shit. The lesson - when all life gives you is shit, swallow it an smile.

    - Sorry. Man vs. Wild on Discovery Channel. Thread/life crossover. Heh.

3 feet of snow, is that my choice? you tell me, those people out there today weren't diehards, they were people who didn't get any snow

i dont which posters specifically have tickets - no one does. not all of us can afford them or live in a geographic location that allows us to go to every game. but seeing that pathetic crowd is an all too real reminder about our pathetic fanbase as you can see the way this board lights up after a disappointing loss.

    You missed the point.

Im saying people have a right to do what they want. If there is to much snow they dont have to go. I got pounded with snow as well. I went because I wanted to.

Im not saying people who didnt go are not diehards. I talk to diehard fans on this site and talk to diehard fans that I know who dont have tickets and dont go or just choose to watch the games on TV. There is nothing wrong with that.

Im just saying that the idea that a stadium cant be loud because it isnt full isnt really true because some of those smaller crowds could have a lot of diehard fans there.

ok I understand your point, but it's not like I did not want to go, I couldn't. I was out there at 6am shoveling my driveway waiting for my town to plow my road which they didn't till about 2pm. I even went as far as calling them to explain the situation at about 8am. Unfortuneatley they did not give a shit about me.

This Teams Home Crowd Is Pathetic...

I'd just like to say that.

I gave Jets fans the benefit of the doubt the first quarter. Alright, the weather is bad. Traffic is probably horrendous. But holy shit, second half rolls around and the stadium is just as empty as it was during the first two quarters. It disgusted me to see all those empty red seats on FG/PAT's. I do give the fans that were there props. They did their hardest to be loud.

So Jets nation, good job showing up our final two games in the Meadowlands ever.

Do you realize how much it snowed in some places here?

That stadium was loud when it needed to be. I was there so I know. It was very loud at the end of the game.

People who pay for season tickets have a right to decide if they want to go to a game or not. Especially when the weather was as bad as it was.

Well, if you're a better fan than everyone who didn't like the idea of driving hours in over a foot of snow, come on up to NY in 2 weeks and sit in my seats for the last game - 8 rows from the field. I actually have a life and I'm not going to waste my time sitting in the cold watching this crap, but if you have nothing better to do, be my guest!!

Some people just didn't want to risk their lives for a Jets game.
