Hahaha, I was being nice. The least I can remember being announced was 18,000 at a game I was at, but I know I've attended games with less people there. It was ridiculous. I loved Donnie, but he wasn't my favorite player either. #1 for me as a kid was Pagliarulo. After that was Winfield, then Claudell Washington (yeah, yeah, I know) then Rhigetti. Then Mattingly. Overall though, I still believe Mattingly was more beloved overall than even Jeter is. There are just more Yankees fans today than in, say, 1987.
