Considering the Cleveland Browns have been around for 10 years and have had 3 head coaches and one interm HC I don't think that's possible. The Cleveland Browns you're talking about became the Ravens in 1996.
Well I hope Mangini learns from his mistakes and starts to show some emotion from time to time. I'm sure the Cleveland fans will get tired of his robot-like persona just as we did.
Wow..just wow...all these comments and he doesn't even have the job. This entire thread is based on some sport jock's blogging rumor.
the NFL ended that practice, besides the fact that it was a joke. you know, an attempt at humor albeit with some truth. I'm sure if the Browns wanted them, the Jets would more than happily let them out of their contracts.
Mangini @ 290 lbs = good coach Mangini @ 245 lbs = bad coach So the real question becomes: does he celebrate getting the job on a treadmill or at a BBQ joint?
No I didn't. I actually said it was the right time for a change b/c it was Herm who was flirting w/ another team and Herm has KC ready to have a good year next year if they keep him. He went to an awful situation but it was his fault. Mangini was fired, 2 different situations. I defend the truth. If I feel someone shouldn't go I post about it. You would think Cleveland would be gunshy about anyone connected w/ Belichick/Parcells after getting screwed w/ Belichick, Palmer and romeo.
Junc, ever the optimist. Your dream team probably consists of Herm and Mangini running the show with Chad at the helm. Sounds like a Championship squad.
I think Mangini was devleoping but w/ herm we never had a healthy season like '07 or a choke like '08. W/ Herm and Chad we would have easily won the division but you prefer changing coaches every few years and the big name approach which doesn't work.
No, I prefer having my favorite team run by coaches and players who don't crawl into the fetal position in big moments.
We have never had the big name except Parcells and he got us a few Curtis Martin fumbles from the SB. With this owner we get the bottom of the barrel, every time.
You can recognize the Browns in that fashion, but it's not how the league recognizes the franchise. The Baltimore Ravens history only dates back to 1996.
