You mean, that's not what this is about?

It should be. Shit, people are acting that NFL players are boy scouts. Nobody has a problem with a player who has so many kids he doesn't even know their names, but a guy does something that we've all done before at one time or another, and its off with his head. I'm not saying he didn't fuck up, just that it needs perspective.

If we can get his on-field presence on the cheap, we'd have the best 3 WR set in football...at Crazy Eddie rates!!! Butforreal, Something along the lines of J-Co's salary 4 and change, sure I'd love to keep him on the team. He's a good player with flashes of great. If we can pay him "good" rates, then the rest is bonus.

I never said they should be in trouble. I said I'm surprised that a supposed team leader like D'Brick isn't taking any flak from the FO for not only not letting Edwards drive drunk at 5 in the morning, he was with him riding along.

Braylon is terrible. He has alligator arms and couldnt catch at all with Cleveland. He has had a horrible career so far but of course anyone who plays for the Browns is cursed.

Who says he hasn't gotten shit for it? Just because there isn't 24/7 media coverage of it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
    Thanks for your input.

If the Jets support Edwards, and he both performs well and stays out of trouble, this definitely could be a good thing, since he will want to stay and will probably agree to do so for less than he otherwise would have been able to get.

    It's all good.

I couldn't find this picture posted in any of the 20 Braylon Edwards threads that we have going, but I might have missed it. Here's Braylon double-fisting drinks at the charity poker event he was at just before getting in his car.

Heres what I feel on the situation:
    (a) Braylon is a friggin idiot and should not be offered anything to come back next year
    (b) I'm veerry disappointed that Brick was in that car. I thought he was above this type of thing.
    (c) I'm not surprised by the fact that Braylon did this.
    (d) This would not be getting anywhere near the amount of attention it is getting if it happened ~5 years ago.

Hoping this is true. I'm all in favor of keeping him.

    QFT

Great work on the research BM. Thanks for the perspective. Unfortunately most people will not bother to read it.

I know because, you, me any everyone else on this board "outraged" about his actions has NEVER bought 2 drinks at once so they can avoid a line. Yeah sure. Hold on as I fall off my moral high brontosaurus, since its much higher than my high horse...

I've been waiting for that since he became a Jet. He has the talent, too. That's the frustrating thing.

Looks like the drink on his left is all ice and empty and that the waitress didn't grab it when leaving him the other one..

Also looks like the glass holds about 3 sips.

What is with the ridiculously stretched attempts to connect Braylon to the Stallworth incident? Nothing Braylon did or didn't do compelled Dont'e to drive his car at any stage. It has nothing to do with him.

Couldn't agree more, but for the reason the Jets have a better chance now to bring him back on the cheap next season. We'll see if they decide to go that route.
