You just made my point for me. When a team's offense is going against it's own defense, you cannot tell whether the problem the offensie is having is because the defense is playing well or because the offense is not. And preseason games don't tell you anything either with starters playing a quarter and teams keeping everything vanilla. The only way you can tell is when the season starts. have you ever heard the expression "practice makes perfect" or "you play how you practice"? You don't just magically become a cohesive unit when the regular season starts. It is important how they practice during this time of the year and how they (the players who WILL make the team) play in preseason (do not mistake that for meaning it's important if we win because that is not what I am saying). While I'm not expecting them to light the world on fire right from the start of training camp, it is a little worrisome to hear they are being inconsistent. Anyway, my question was to find out if the defense had been playing really well causing the inconsistency.
