Sanchez will end up being good somewhere else with a real staff and a solid offense. In the right System Sanchez could still have success but we ruined him beyond repair, trying to trade him now is like selling a used 81 Jeep and saying shit like "it has a good paint job" "it still has potentiol" meanwhile u have a 10 grand price tag on it and the fucking engines missing
Sanchez won 4 playoff games. People are crazy to hate the pick ever. Think what you want, but it is true. I have been a Jets fan all my life. I have seen 3 playoff wins without Sanchez and 4 playoff wins with him. That is a fact.
that should be said about 5,6,7 round picks not your top 2 picks Slauson was good for us and we got more out of him than expected. Sanchez was average as was Greene, not something you want from guys you trade up for
Ha all good. An yo if we can get both Jarvis Jones and Clowney in back to back drafts I would literally shit my pants.
we'd have to suck this year but honestly I'm sick of this middle of the road shit, we need Elite talent and to get that you gotta suck for a little while
Sanchez didn't win a single thing. He was along for the ride. The lone game you can give him credit for is New England, who had the worst secondary in football that season. There are a plethora of QB's who could have been along for the ride in '09 against Marvin Lewis and Norv Turner, or in 2010 against a Colt team with an unhealthy Manning, a 25% at best Garcon, no Dallas Clark, no Austin Collie, etc, and still needed a big return from Cromartie. Please!
I won't apologize just yet. The douche going crazy came out and admitted he loved the pick (of course during our 2nd playoff run). He said he was upset because he "thought" we probably gave away the house to get Mark. When he found out what we gave up, he was ecstatic. So my apology is more like a SUCK IT!
Don't tell me about being a dick and also right. I am the grandmaster. Brad, I know you've seen this movie many times. Sanchez isn't in the universe of all time bad first round picks for the Jets. The Jets had the most success they've had in generations with him under center, until they decided to let all the talent around him evaporate. Those guys were and are fucking tools.
Yep. I'll never for the life of me understand the thought process that went: draft inexperienced QB - prop him up for a couple of years - pull the rug out from under him. Of course the guy who primarily did that got fired for doing it so I guess understanding the thought process is not necessary for a Jets fan at this point.
