The OL should improve next year for one reason alone the schedule. This year we played some extraordinarily nasty defenses and defensive fronts playing 8 games against the NFC South and AFC North. Next year we get 8 games against the AFC West and NFC Central. This alone should give the OL a much needed breather. Look at what the Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, Saints, and Bucs have done to our OL this year. And we still have the Panthers and Browns to come. The only break we got out of those 8 teams was the Falcons. Anything has to better for our OL than that schedule.

I also agree that with a better LG Mangold and D'Brick will benefit. Better blocking TE and some better offensive weapons will help. A full offseason of work by Geno will help the OL as well.

We did draft two project OL last year who we have carried on the roster all year. It will be interesting to see how they pan out next year. But I would expect Idzik to draft/sign 1-2 more OL. The Seattle way was to build both lines 1st in the draft then the skill positions. If we could get out from under D'Brick's salary I bet we would be looking at LT as well. Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case. But by a big improvement in the schedule, the rest of the offense getting better and better health for Mangold and I would hope Mangold and D'Brick will greatly improve.
