You're a know nothing. Go pretend you know something about the Jets somewhere else. Your stuff is boring and adds nothing. Thanks for the kind words.
^^^ I have no idea man. Everyone here says no, but the main page says yes. I don't know what is true and not true
Yeah and when the board needs a whiny opinion that no one gives a shit about you would be the first we would come to. It is amazing you can type with your head so far up your ass.
However, beat writer Manish Mehta cautions that there is "no guarantee" Mason will accept. The 37-year-old is believed to have other offers available. The Jets can offer a shot at a Super Bowl, as well as a full-time role in the slot.
Boy are we screwed if Mason takes another offer and Floyd goes to the Ravens. It's not the worst situation in the world, but we will be left with a rookie 3rd WR or Patrick Turner. Our 2nd WR is on a one year deal. It's a very bleak outlook for the WR corps this year if we get snubbed by Mason. No matter how you look at it, unless Mason is here, we've downgraded.
Never said he was going to be. All I said was the outlook is bleak if we don't sign Mason. Don't think I mentioned Cotch at all actually.
If Floyd and Mason are off the market, no, there aren't. At least no one that would have been as good as either of those two. I'm discounting Cotch completely because he was asking to be cut regardless, so I'm just speaking as if right now Patrick Turner or Jeremy Kearley is our 3rd WR. That's a downgrade, and there isn't exactly a good option available.
Just a list of free agents still available, discounting Cotch, Floyd and Mason: Mark Clayton Terrell Owens Steve Smith (Giants) Early Doucet Derek Hagan Housh Antwaan Randle El Bryant Johnson David Clowney Chris Chambers Hank Baskett Tell me you feel comfortable with any of those guys being your #3.
It's very early in the process. Plenty of players will be cut over the next few weeks. Also, I'm not sure the situation is "bleak" even if the Jets don't bring in another receiver. Holmes and Burress have a chance to be a very dynamic duo if plaxico is still plaxico. And Kerley is supposedly turning heads in training camp as a slot receiver. Remember, Cotch had a very pedestrian season last season - who is to say Kerley couldn't be an upgrade over him?????????????
If Kerley has 400+ yards and more than 2 TD's, we upgraded from Cotchery. We have not set back ourselves at all. As of right now, no one knows anything. All we know are reports of what is happening.
With Tanny and Rex involved, you can't discount a recently retired Wide Receiver with a big name... (..talking about Randy Moss.. not saying that's what I want, just that you never know with the Jets)
