The Sun's Jamison Hensley reports that Floyd wants to play in Baltimore. The fit couldn't be better, as the 30-year-old (in September) wideout already knows OC Cam Cameron's offense from their time together in San Diego. The Ravens are very interested in a veteran deep threat; they don't want to hand the job opposite Anquan Boldin to Torrey Smith just yet. Floyd figures to command $3-4 million annually -- an affordable rate for Baltimore.

I'm counting on guys like Mike DeVito, Ropati Pitoitua, and Marcus Dixon, who have taken NFL snaps.

Mo Wilkerson will eventually be a starter here, but we have other young guys ready to step up.

Sanchez said there's always one big surprise in training camp and his vote might go to rookie Jeremy Kerley, who took reps with both the first and second string and hauled in a diving catch from backup quarterback Mark Brunell in one of the full team series.
"Baller," Sanchez said. "He's just a baller. He's doing great. For a guy who didn't know much of the playbook coming in, he's picked it up really fast. He's a yes-sir, no-sir kind of guy, puts his head down, goes to work, takes coaching really well and players really like him."

    But let's keep complaining.

If Mason doesn't sign, It shouldn't be hard to find a replacement #3 WR

Especially when we might already have him on the roster.

Great news. ...gotta love it when rookies come in and want to do well.

Mark Sanchez has been in that kid's ear for the past few days. He wants to learn as much as possible about our offense and Sanchez is putting him in the right spots to succeed sooner than later.

Good god you are so fucking stupid it is beyond description. Cotchery made what 15 million+ over the past 4 years and he is making 1.8 mill this year. Do the math.

Big deal if he asks for a release, what risk is he taking?

The max he loses is 900k this year with the possibility of garnering a whole lot more than what he is going to get paid this year.

So tell me, why wouldn't he ask for his release and how much do the Jets save shrinking his paltry salary. It's like arguing with a 3 year old with fucking downs syndrome.

I'm really excited to see how he pans out. It would be nice to have instant production from a rook after the last draft class.

Einstein, he had a 3 million dollar cap hit next season. Seriously, you are the most antagonistic by far. Who the heck attacked you?

    Cimini:

Cotchery apparently asked for release few days ago. M. Sanchez said, "I was hoping I could change his mind." This c/b over proposed pay cut.

    PROPOSED PAYCUT !!!!

Kerley is baller? If Sanchez is endorsing him, the kid has a good shot at progressing with the team.

I hope Kerley turns out to be Jerry Rice, but where is everyone getting all these glowing reports on him?

Exactly.. Rex Ryan is great at finding and developing defensive talent.. just look at the "unknown" guys he has made players.. Bart Scott, Jim Leonhard, Adalius Thomas, Kelly Gregg just to name a few in Baltimore.. here DeVito And Pouha have thrived under his coaching. So if he has a lot of confidence in guys like Pitoitua, Dixon, or even Gilbert or Tevesau to step in and fill a void, then I tend to believe in Rex.
