Anyone notice that Quinn has been kicked around much harder than Cutler throughout his young career, but isn't whining about it? I'd honestly rather take my chances on Quinn than Cutler if it came down to trading for one of them.... though I'm still on the Ratliff train myself.
I would much rather have Clemens and Ratliff over Quinn... And I watched every game he played in college..no way cutler or our boys I am happy either way
stop dreaming.what you are offering is not realistic.the jets are going with the quarterbacks already on the roster.brady quinn has yet to mature both physically and headwise.
Brady Quinn would be a viable option at this point. Im still rooting for Ratliff though. Im ok with either. Denver may want too much for Cutler. Offer Cleveland a 3rd,Kellen Clemens and or Bryan Thomas.
I would too, but I'm an ND fan so I'm a little biased I guess. I'm not so sure he's the answer, but I like Quinn a lot and would definitely like him on the Jets.
but what has he won? In 37 games in the NFL, he has thrown 37 INTS. He has played in a poor division and has not been a great, consisterntly winning QB. He did throw for lots of yards last year but is it stats or wins that we are looking for? If it is stats,. we should have kept PENNINGTON. (CUTLER finished 9 and 7! )Only wins are much more important! Could the fragile-minded CUTLET err CUTLER win in NY after the BOO BIRDS dump on him for a stupid INT? What if REX wanted to draft a young developmental QB after trading for the boy-wonder? CUTLER would go nuts and cry about not feeling the love! IN NY a tough-minded QB is an absolute necessity! CUTLER is wonderously talented and gifted. BUT he has never shown a consistency to win and he has always thrown game losing INTS. The record is there for all to see. Gifted ? YES, immensely! A winner? That is the $64,000. question! Tough-minded? NO! That is the only answer we are sure of!
Well, then what does that say about Gholston who wouldn't even be drafted or signed as UFA based on his performance last year.
Terrible argument when you figure Denver gave up 28 points per game and didn't have a healthy starting RB for more than two weeks in a row last year. They had taxi squad players trying to run. It is amazing they did as well as they did. So he wopuld need to throw for more than 4 TDs a game to overcome his defense and even Brady only threw for 3/game two years ago.
Perfectly refuted DON. The argument against getting Cutler is bogus. He needs to be a JET. Trading for Cutler will define this franchise and the legacy of Tannenbaum. He thought Favre was going to be his "piece de resistance" but that was only a one in a million shot. This would be something that could put this franchise on the map for the next 10 years.
I'm with you on this one. I would LOVE to have Cutler (highly touted prospect a few years ago who we now know is very good). Don't see much point to Quinn (a highly touted prospect who we're not sure will ever turn out good....he may be a little better than what we have (less highly touted prospects who we're not sure will ever be good), but not by much). All of that said, if we stick with what we have, may as well try to pick up some veteran emergency QB in case all of our guys totally suck.
1st - You even quoted the part where I requested legit criticism. Tell me why its a bad trade rather than making a stupid joke. 2nd - You can't even do three team trades in Madden.
Plus it seems as though they are going to turn that hi second round pick into Julius Peppers so really they get one of the best defensive players in the NFL in exchange for a (potentially) one season wonder QB. Looking at it that way it doesnt seem quite such a bad deal for them after all.
