Jones is expected to play next Sunday. If the staff was worried, Ware would have definitely made the team. The Super Bowl champions, by the way, currently have only Kenton Keith backing up Joseph Addai. Keith is a 27-year old NFL rookie. He spent the last four years with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Many times teams will only dress two halfbacks for games. Often times the third one will be in street clothes on the Inactive List during games. You'll recall the Jets did that to Barlow 4 times last year. So, again, I just don't think it's that big of a deal that Ware was cut. I would like to see him be added to the Practice Squad, however. It is now currently after 12 noon New York time, so NFL teams can now announce their Practice Squads.
Guess he didn't want to put his "money" where his mouth was after all. I'm not shocked. Whether I am right (he's not signed) or wrong (he is), doesn't matter... at least I'll stand behind my opinions.
sucks, I thought Ware was a great runner with good vision. I hadnt seen shit from Tutt to be honest till the Philly game.
You answered your own question. We need the TE and FB a lot more. It is as simple as that. Ware was good, but too limited in what he could do. It is a luxury we can not afford
this is dumb, Ware was very solid, they better pickup someone better cuz Tutt isnt gonna cut it. 5TES good job having 2 extra bodies that arent going to contibute Maybe they dont plan on keeping Baker past this year and want these extra guys knowing the playbook for next camp
Ware is not very solid. They obviously think Tutt is going to cut it. Did you read my post earlier in the thread regarding the role of #3 halfbacks? Most of them don't play meaningful minutes from scrimmage. Ware was going to have to cut it on special teams and obviously he failed to do so in camp and in the preseason games.
LOL... yer still a funny guy. I saw the follow up, calling me out... excuse me for not being on this site in time to respond to yer silliness in the time frame you expected. This doesn't require "balls" in any case, and sure, yer on, I accept.
Wtf Is the Fuss about a third down back who was average against 2nd and third stringers. We certainly do not need a third running back on the 53 man roster, when we have FB , Barnes, Tutt and Brad Smith who we can design plays for out of the back field. As far as the arguement about keeping 5 TE's, trust me Kowaleski/pOciask will be cut as soon as a veteran who the Jets like is available.
The roster is not set by any means a couple of players on the ciurrent list will be cut and other players signed.I am guessing Mike Devito and Kowaleski do not make the roster by next sunday.
This is something I have never seen on this site.. Now you guys are whining over an undrafted third string(at best) RB.. Yeah they sure Fd that one up.
QFT................... LOL this is a great negative change of pace from a "Noodle Arm" thread, you have to admit.
For a guy who probally would have been strickly a special teamer due to two very talented Back's; his run blocking probally played into this decision or the need for run blocking. I preseonally liked the guy , tough back could get the tuff yards. If he's not picked up we will scoop him back up!
Huh? His run blocking? He's a running back. I feegir he's should be in the team, but I persenrly special teams, yeah.
