Even if they picked up Suh it wouldn't change the reason we lose to them. Brady is all that maters on that team.
It's not in Belichik's DNA to spend huge money on a defensive player over 30 and any market level deal for Suh would be doing that. On January 7th 2017 Suh is over 30. There's no way a market level deal doesn't have him at $15M against the cap that year with a huge dead money hit if he's cut.
I don't really think he will sign either of them at this point. Revis is more likely but he's going to cost a huge guarantee to the team that signs him and again Belichik does not do that for players going post-prime. Tom Brady wouldn't even be with the Pats any more if he was greedy about compensation or looking for top of the market.
I don't see Suh in New England. I hope not, I think he's a sociopath. Anyway the Patriots will have a struggle just to keep what they have today. Tom Coughlin is the oldest head coach. He specifically said that he's going to let his agent pick the team he goes to. I'm pretty sure that his agent is going to make the decision purely based on money - but if Suh changes his mind it would be possible for him to wind up in New England if he wanted to forgo literally tens of millions of dollars for a non-guaranteed ring. But based on what he's said so far, it sounds like he's looking to cash in. If the decision is up to Suh's agent, as he said it was, then I think he will wind up with whatever team is willing to pay him the most.
