I would like to bring Woodhead back as a option at RB. He can catch the ball and has some serious speed. We chose McKnight over him years ago and look how that worked out. McKnight never lived up to his potential has a RB Woodhead became a local star in NE

Sources tell TheJetsBlog that when his camp was approached about the idea, the suggestion was flatly refused and nothing has come of it since.

    cut him.

Was just thinking about this after Pouha was cut.
Yeah i agree. flat out cut him. We are getting rid of high character guys to free up some cap and build for future. By that end, cutting a malcontent like Holmes should be a no brainer as he's not in future plans either.

They should be able to just take his money after he gave the ball up like that.

Cut him this year? Wouldn't it make more sense to just let him play out this year and cut him next year if he is still a problem? Currently he's the only playmaker on the offense.

Addition by subtraction. Sometimes it's the best move.

Calling out another poster because Holmes refused a pay cut, are you 15 or something? Grow the fuck up.

That and the cap savings. Jets aren't winning anything in 2013 with or without Holmes.

While the 1 mill cap savings would be nice, do you think woody wants to write a check for 10 mill in dead money this year?

This has nothing to do with the paycut (well maybe a little bit), it's his attitude. Check this thread before you make an assumption. If anything it proves my point.

No, I'm not checking shit. I see you called out barcs in this thread,so your acting like a spoiled little child. If anything you proved my point by sticking to it.

Read the OP ... the savings would likely be more depending on the contract he gets elsewhere. Am missing something?

There could be more savings once he signs elsewhere. Untill he does there is only an immediate 1mill of cap relief. Seeing as he is still recovering from surgery it's doubtful he would get snatched up soon so the additional savings will not affect the free agency period.

Someone will sign this clown for around 3mil.
The offsetting language in the contract would then free up 4mil for the Jets.

If you don't want to check the thread and see the argument between me and him fine by me, I stand by my ground, I guess that makes me a "spoiled little child." Whatever makes you sleep better at night.

My point being he should of never saw that $$$ to begin with. We will have to find a potential suitor for Holmes that will take the remaining cap figure I guess according to his clause. At least we have a way to escape.

I don't need to read the argument. What I can see is you not letting it go and calling him out. Again, grow the fuck up. Even if you don't I'll still sleep well either way.
