In order to succeed in this league, you have to imitate others. Thats why all the best coaches coached under the best coaches. Who knows if mangini is the answer, but so far i like what ive heard
Can't people not look at things realistically anymore?? I love the jets but lets get real people, super bowl talks?? give me a break. We are in a rebuilding stage. What i want to see is improvement next year and then maybe in '07 we can talk playoffs. But we have as much chance as to win the superbowl next year as the royals have a chance to win the world series. Just not gonna happen. Some of you guys need to pass the shit you smokin cuz sounds like its the bomb.
I agree that its a rebuilding year but look at the schedule we have, its not that hard: Buffalo (2), Miami (2), New England (2), Houston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Oakland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Green Bay, Minnesota, Cleveland There is no reason why we can't beat Buffalo once if not twice, Miami once, Houston, Detroit, Oakland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, GB, Minn., Cleveland. That's 10 wins and the Cleveland game is a reach so maybe 9. IMO there is no reason why we couldn't win the other games. Maybe it's just wishful thinking about winning that many games but we'll just wait & see!
I don't think we win the detroit, jax, or minnesota game. Jax and Vikes are gonna be alot better, and detroit will improve next year. Detroit is an iffy game.
I'll give you Jax but remember they only beat us last year in OT after we lost Chad then Jay and when Chad came back in he wasn't himself. Plus we had the ball on their 7 and had to settle for a FG to tie at the end of the game. Minn also has a new coach so who knows how that team will respond, and Det. we'll they are still just Det.
I don't think there's anything maybe about it. Seven wins would be a good year. ___________________________________________________________ Last edited by Conrad Dobler : 05-05-2005 at 1:20 AM.
As a Patriots fan I think there is far too much BB ball washing up here in NE. I do think he's a excellent coach and there probably aren't more than one or two that I'd rather have.... BUT, the main reason he's the "genius" that he is today is Tom Brady and his improbable rise to stardom. The fact that a 6th round pick just turned out to be one of the greatest QB's in the league is literally like catching lightning in a bottle. Without Brady, the Patriots would likely have been a strong contender under Bledsoe and Belichick, but no where near the heights that Brady has elevated them to. So for all the "Belichick/Pioli way" references you hear, remember that the Patriots are where they are mainly because of the BB/SP philosophy collidng with the greatest draft day steal in NFL history. It was the perfect storm of NFL football sucess. You've gotta have the horses.
