What you are saying is correct, but the problem is, our run game is so bad, it constantly puts the offense in 2nd & long and 3rd & long, most of them being obvious passing situations. And with injuries to Sanchez' top 3 targets (Holmes, Hill, Keller), the passing game suffered even more adversity. With Keller and Hill back this week, it can rejuvenate the run game too. We played some really good defenses to start off the season. We'll get a break this wk playing against Indy, so lets see how that works out. We really need a solid performance in all departments to instill some confidence back in to the team.
Is Rex Ryan the asshole? Or is it Tebow? Crap, I'm lost in this analogy.
Mangold will play. He came back into the game Monday Night and said the ankle was not as bad as it was last year when he only missed two games. As for Keller, I'll believe it when I see it. And I think Hill won't be able to go. Get ready to see more of Jason Hill since it looks like Gates will be out.
There's no way Keller is sitting out games this season unless Jets medical staff is forcing him to. He's gonna be a FA & he doesn't have the body of work to command a fat contract after missing out this many games. Keller's only shot at a big payday is to hit the field & prove he deserves it. Personally, I'm not a big Keller fan but I can't buy the idea he wouldn't be eager to step onto the field this season.
lol - Keller would likely kick the living shit out of 99% of the people calling him a pussy on the internet if they said that shit to his face.
Out of Mangold, Hill and Keller, I would be happy if at least 2 out of the 3 played...as long as 1 of them is Mangold.
It's hard to establish your running game when defenses don't respect your passing game. Sanchez only completing 48% of his passes invites defenses to make him beat them. Until he can consistently do that, your running game will continue to struggle.
