Why are you wasting your time arguing with malcontents. Jets fans have as much class as my trash. Jet fans should act with class. Instead they make excuses and complain about calls. Lol Jets fans never mention that the Colts and Bengals rested many key starters in 2009 and that the Chargers kicker missed easy kicks or that the Colts head coach mismanaged his timeouts. You are fighting a no win situations with haters.
You didn't have a true #1 CB, you had a nice collection of average corners that looked good when the pass rush was great and looked poor when the pass rush wasn't great. The Giants had trouble on pass D b/c Osi and Tuck missed games and the pass rush wasn't ferocious, did you see what those corners did against Rodgers and GB? why were they able to do that? a year ago w/ Thomas at GB were you able to slow them down? I never said the injuries didn't hurt they just weren't killer injuries, they were all guys who could be replaced and we are seeing that now. I give the Giants tons of credit for turning things around, they ahve played excellent football but can you admit they got a break w/ the quick whistle on the Bradshaw fumble? I am right much more oftne than not, I don't take the typical fan stance so it doesn't bother me if anyone agrees. I present a lock solid case w/ all my arguments, every once in a while I may get something wrong but it doesn't happen too often.
Can this board be about the Jets. What do the Giants have to do with the Jets. If the Giants were not in the Super Bowl you would not be posting this nonsense. This is a Jets board. You guys are making it a jealousy hate board. Very immature.
Why are you discussing the Giants on the Jets board. If you want to discuss the Giants is there another forum that might better suit you.
Damn right we're jealous. This is the 4th time in my life I've had to watch "Big brother" get every bounce, every call, and dance their way to a god damn title game. Meanwhile the Jets never get the calls, never get the bounces and opposing kickers have hit 96% beyond 50 yards against the Jets since 2004. We have every RIGHT to be bitter. This franchise can never catch the breaks. EVER.
Welcome to the board, please participate in discussions. Please don't tell people what to talk about, the Giants and Pats are relevant to discuss right now unfortunately.
are you serious. Do you not recall the game against San Diego in the playoffs Nate Kaeding missed three FGA for the Chargers and was the first kicker to go 0-3 in an NFL playoff game since 1995. He only missed three in the regular season and is 3-9 at home in the postseason in his career. It is funny how you only tell some things and avoid others. Here are some QB stats as well lol about our great QB who has 4 playoff wins. If San Diego makes the kicks do we win? I bet you say yes. Passing Leaders NY Jets C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT NFL RATING Sanchez 12/23 100 4.3 1 1 60.1 San Diego C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT NFL RATING Rivers 27/40 298 7.5 1 2 76.9
One of those was almost 60 yds so he missed 2 makeable kicks but kaeding has always been a choker in January- that was SDs fault not ours and we didn't get the benefit of a terrible call like the Bradshaw fumble. Credit the Giants for taking advantage but it was a gift to help them win.
Why was it a terrible call. Because you said so. Were Sanchez's 2 fumbles and Holmes fumble against the Giants terrible calls as they were overruled. I guess because the call did not make you happy it was horrible from profootballtalk but I know you are more qualified to determine what is right and wrong in terms of fumbles "Posted by Mike Florio on January 23, 2012, 10:36 PM EST ReutersSixteen years ago, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh saw a berth in the Super Bowl evaporate after teammate Quentin Coryatt failed to secure a pass from Steelers quarterback Neil O’Donnell that hit Coryatt right in the stomach. On Sunday, another near miss on a turnover helped keep the former Colts quarterback’s team from getting back to Indianapolis. Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw caught a short pass late in regulation, and he immediately was pushed backward. Before he hit the ground, the ball came out. And the 49ers recovered. But the officials ruled that Bradshaw’s forward progress had been stopped. Thus, no fumble. And no turnover. On Monday, Harbaugh expressed his displeasure with the ruling. “In my opinion, that was a fumble,” Harbaugh said Monday, via NFL.com. “I’m sure the league will defend it and the officials will defend it. But to me, that play was still going on. There was still struggling by Bradshaw. . . . I felt like it was analogous with the tuck rule.” As much as we like and respect the man who without question was the NFL’s coach of the year, Harbaugh has this one wrong. The rule regarding forward progress is used routinely, the tuck rule sparingly. In this specific case, Bradshaw’s forward progress was stopped. He was being yanked backward, not falling forward. So it was a good call. (As was the use of the tuck rule a decade ago.) The only remaining question is whether Harbaugh’s comments crossed the vague and at times shifting line between what will and won’t get a head coach fined for criticizing the officials."
Ok, so you bring up one game. Where's the equivalent to Bradshaw's fumble no call? Tyree's catch?Patriots defender falling down on Plax's TD? Williams Fumble?Norwoods Shanker? Since 1998 Jets have had almost as many play off appearances as the Giants..yet we don't hear about anywhere NEAR the number of breaks.
and lets not forget Peyton Manning not playing the second half against the Jets. Oh the Jets get no breaks. Cry
Spoken by a fan of a team that just got two of the biggest breaks in conference title history. Not the first time either Cough tuck rule cough. I don't need to argue with you. You have no idea how it feels. You like to pretend you do, cause it brings you sadistic pleasure. But you have no idea. Go ahead, keep pouncing on us. You just better hope that the Jets never do win an SB. After the years of hardship and shit talking by pricks...there isn't gonna be any "winning with class".
It is not how many times you make the playoffs it is what you do when you get there. If you are like Rex and gloat about losing in back to back championships then you must have been bragging for 2 years about nonsense. Do you not get it. If Peyton Manning played the full game against Jets in 2009 in the regular season the JETS would not even have made the playoffs. The Jets would have been 8 and 8 in 2009 and 2 of Rex's three years would have been 8 and 8. Instead Peyton rested and the Jets made the playoffs. If that is not a break what is?
Just another sad excuse by a malcontent. Hobbs was beat by a star receiver. Ironically the Jets then get that same star receiver but they get him when he is a few steps from done.
I'm not "pouncing" on Jets fans. I merely responded to a post that said the Jets never get any breaks. That's just not true.
