D-Rob does not suck. He has had a couple of great years with us. But obviously there's something wrong, and I don't think it's just the 3-4 or 4-3. Mangini seeems to know his stuff. I think we can figure that he's gonna be going over film of D-Rob to help get him straight. But he is far from a bust, and I think he's gonna be corrected soon.

Please enlighten me on those "couple of great years."...In 2004 he had a nice year, was solid next to Ferguson, but FAR from great...

But I would like to know the other "great" years DRob has had...

He had 1 decent year, thats it. Its not the 4-3 because the next year he sucked. He is a bust, there is no way around it, the guy is lazy and doesnt play hard. Cant nobody block me, well u just got butchered, nevermind blocked.

A "nice" year. That's certainly downplaying it. I remember many people around the league singing his praises. Before his injury, the guy was a solid in his position as anyone in the NFL. Everyone saying he "sucks" hasn't been paying attention. Three games in 2006 does not = bust!

How many years after he was drafted #4 overall have to pass before he becomes a bust?

He's not a piece of crap, he's just clearly not suited for the NT position in the 3-4. I think he should play the majority of snaps at end, and when Moore needs to rest, he can spell him at NT.

He was benched for a fair portion of the game yesterday, and after watching him completely give up on the play where Losman ran it in for a TD, hopefully he'll be standing on the sidelines even longer next week.

He can't play the 4-3? Who said that? Two years ago he almost made the Pro Bowl, playing the 4-3. What were you out of the country for that season?

While he was next to Jason Ferguson.

For a guy who was being touted as a Baby Sapp...He should be able to dominate with whoever is next to him, in last year's case, James Reed...Warren Sapp always didn't have Anthony McFarland next to him, but that didn't stop him from dominating, being the face of that franchise despite having Derrick Brooks, John Lynch and Ronde Barber around him...

But no, he plays extremely soft, is not even half of "Baby-Sapp", and has not lived up to trading two 1st round picks jumping up to the 4th overall pick to select him...

We have to play him. We have some age on the line and the rotation is the key to survival. We can upgrade next year for now you just hope he improves his play.

I did see him occupy a couple of blockers on some running downs, but he was just pushed to the side, he has very poor technique. I do not think its his strength, I remember Mawae speaking of how strong he is, but his hands are terrible. He always seems to be on the OLs shoulders trying to hold his ground. I have yet to see him be disruptive in the backfield. NO DT does this every defensive series, but there are NTs and DTs in the NFL who make things happen week in and week out, he has not even made a tackle for a loss this year in 3 games. The fact that our DE do not seem to be getting penetration does not help his cause either. I guess I am not sure what he is doing out there.
