Never said it does. But how pathetic is a fan base that hopes the team loses for a "change"? Man I can't wait until Sunday, I hope the Jets lose so some dude can replace Chad. Yeah. That type Jet fan seem quite dumb.
I never criticized you wanting him gone. But now that we are there... you're being irrational.
You are sooooooo full of it.... So the guy wore his helmet. As it was pointed out Clemens did the same thing the following week. It means nothing. Was he sore about not playing? Probably. He gets told just before the game they aren't going to let him play and you expect him to just say, oh well. He's a competitor and really hard worker and obviously he has a lot of confidence in himself so naturally he's not going to bench himself. Why the hell would he do that? That is just a retarded statement in itself expecting a player to quit on himself. It is the coaches job to put the best player in, the player that gives us the best chance of starting. By the way, did you see who is starting this week?
Chad is to arrogant to admit he is done. Mr 32 and 25 lifetime thinks he is on the level of Manning and Brady. Stepping aside for the good of the team is not quitting on yourself it is putting the best interest of the team ahead of your own selfish motives. Is Captain Checkdown starting again?
Yeah, I never agreed with the sentiment of the thread, I think it's pretty weak to hope for a bad performance for any reason.
If Chad had the teams that those two guys have had it is likely he'd have at least one Ring or at least made a couple of visits to the SB. He is not done as a QB. He just does not have the sort of team around him that is going to allow him to be as successful. That does not mean he should quit. Like I said, it is not his job to step aside... it is the job of the coaches to put the guy best suited to play in. When Chad plays his way out of a job then KC will get some reps. Until then try to live with it.
I Wish chad the best of luck sunday and hopefully he can get us the W , i got faith in em and u guys should to.
How can you ever root for your team to do bad, when its only six game of the season. Now if it was a meaniless last game of the season and you could possible get a better draft choice. I could see thinking that way.
Now you know our secret why this franchise sucks, actually wanting players and the team to do bad. I read many threads on this forum and I ask myself more times than not, how the hell are these people "fans." F'in sad.
I posted this in the "positive outlook" thread as well To be honest, on one hand I would love to see Chad to silence the critics one last time and make it a good fight this year. Maybe then next year they start re-evaluating for possibly of a Clemens take over after the Oline and Dline gel more, and some more pieces of the puzzle for both areas are braught in the offseason. Chad will be 34 (or maybe 33?) I think, and will at least have had played a few full solid seasons that he can look back on and smile about. I mean thats what I want for Chad. I really don't wish to see him get pushed out, or be forced out prematurely. The guy is a warrior and the picture of class, and I could care what others think about him. He deserves at least a few more moments of Jet victory (the best football victory a player could ever have.) in my book. On the other hand if Chad is really done and his arm adds significantly to more losses then I would like the CS and the team to get a feel for Clemens before the draft. It is definately important for this to happen, and if we are going to make the switch, it needs to happen way before the last game of the season. If we are in fact going to make the switch, then I do want to get Clemens as much work as we can this year. After much thought, I have come to the conclusion that either senario would be good for me. Each senario is good in different areas. And even if Chad plays well for the rest of the year and wins some good hard faught games, at least Clemens has a great game manager and leader to learn from for a bit longer. Either ways cool with me to tell ya the truth. But one thing is for sure, I will always support the Jets and always ALWAYS hope for a win for the team and the fans. Rooting against Chad in my opinion lacks depth, and to be quite honest lacks soul. If Chad were any other QB I may not have felt the same way. But he simply deserves more that that. Again if he blows it some more times, I am in full support of a change at the QB position. But I can get behind Chad if he is winning games just as fast. Looking long term is the way to go folks. J E T S JETS JETS JETS BABY!!
