Yeah, If he´s covered, you gotta do that, but if someone is that wide open, and you overthrow him a yard, it´s 2 and 10, if you put it a little short, he can still wait for it, as clowney did. And it wasn´t really that short. And you really don´t want to overthrow a wide open Reviever on your first pass as a pro.

Look at some Fleaflickers, most throws are a little short there, when the guy is wide open.

How can you say that? Because Ratliff had one "Solid" Preseason? Kellen was ranked right up there with Cutler and Young the year they both came out and some say Kellen was the best QB of the class as far as talent goes.

How can you say that Kellen doesnt deserve a 2nd chance? The man had NO O-Line when he started for the Jets in 07... He took over a team who was already pretty much dead, Will freaking Montgomery was our starting LG and Anthony Clement was our starting RT...Where are those two bums now? Are they even in the league anymore? Kellen was thrown into the fire with a team that had a losing record, had NO RUN GAME @ all because of our O-Line, our WR's in Cotchery and Coles were banged up that year and J.Mac was our Slot reciever who couldnt make a big catch if his life depended on it.

I would LOVE to see Kellen with a full offseason as the starting QB, a full offseason to work with 1st string players, an O-Line with players like Mangold and Ferguson in their (4th years as starters) instead of (2nd year starters) with Faneca; a future HOF with a solid 3-4 season left in the tank as the LG (Instead of Montgomery), with Woody; a veteran player who started for a SB winning team in NE as our starting RT (instead of A.Clement, the worst T ever)

You may think Ratliff has potential and talent...But for you to say "Ratliff>Kellen" Your dead wrong and any logical Jets fan would agree that he deserves a 2nd chance

Ratliff made more than those two throws in pre-season. He ran the offense well, I think he threw a game-winning TD in one game, it's kind of foggy now--at least I am right now. But to the naked eye I like how he played the position, his size, how he throws, just plays the game. I mean he can only play against who they put him in against, that's no reason not to give him a shot, especially considering where we are with a new staff and no real incumbent. I don't know why anyone is against that. No problem with him competing with Clemens, Clemens looked ok at times, between the two let's see if we have a starter and a backup. Maybe we do.

The same applies to CLEMENS! However, we all seem to forget the fact that he performed better then our fair haired golden boy QB CHADWICK. The guy won 3 games with arguably the worst OL in the NFL in quite some time. His recevivers were hurt when he first came in a s a starter. The run game was non-existent yet so many conveniently forget that CLEMENS could have won 2 other games but was victimized by the dropsies by his receivers. There are never any excuses for CLEMENS; only attack by the bood birds! Why? IMO wqe should let all 3 JETS QBs duke it out in camp and the winner starts! Who cares which one it is as along as he wins the job outright! Here is a guarantee: If CLEMENS starts and gets us to a winning season, it won't be good enough for most JETS fans! Only PENNINGTON could get away with that! Further, if CLEMENS wins the job and gets us to a SB soon, all the boo birds will be his most avid supporters and will never admit to being so anti-Clemens at this time! That is a guarantee!

The only difference between Cutler and Clemmens is that Cutler has had the opportunity to play and start. Cutler worked in Denver's Offense until teams started game planning against him. Think Belechick doesn't know how to gameplan?

Let's build a TEAM, give him some weapons (we still need a Big WR and another TE) and then let Clemmens do his thing. If that doesn't work you let Ratliff do HIS thing. If THAT doesn't work then NEXT year you drop them both get a FA QB and then Draft one.

Taking a chance on Freeman or Sanchez is NO BETTER than starting Clemens or Ratliff. Getting Cutler (while on paper is a better option) is no guarantee and may not be worth what we'd have to give up.

I supported Pennington and we didn't use him properly.
I supported Favre (though I wanted Penny to stay as back-up) and he just didn't have enough in the tank.
I'm supporting giving Clemens the rock.

    I'm going on record.

In Baseball, thats exactly how I feel bro and thats because baseball teams actually have the ability to build up young players along with talented top prospects through the farm system

But in Football...I want the best talent out there for the right price because a QB like Cutler could help this Jets team in so many ways and I could care less who he played for as long as he brings us a ring

Its good to see someone using logic and rational rather than getting high on these big glorious media storms about some quarterback hysteria. The jets didnt sign enough players this offseason anyway, and they didnt draft another quaterback in last years draft....oh wait, yes they did......what the hell was that all for?
In the words of Treebeard, "Don't be hasty." We have a quarterback and a coach who will utilize him properly.
