If you think Mo is hard to re-sign, wait till Richardson is due

    It's a tough call to make. If Wilkerson is healthy and stays highly motivated after signing a huge deal he's at least as valuable as Richardson right now. Richardson has more upside but he also has shown less overall in his first two years than Mo did in his first two.

    We wouldn't be having the conversation if Mo hadn't had an off-year last season. That and missing 3 games at the end have definitely caused some valuation problems for the Jets. The Revis signing also muddied the waters because Mo and Revis are in direct competition for today's cap dollars and Richardson and Revis are not.

    I think the Jets best move is probably just to stand pat at the moment unless they get the feeling that Mo is willing to take a deal similar to Jordan's. That way they get a highly motivated Mo on the field this year and they can make the decision on who to re-up in the 2016 off-season when they have more information.
