Apparently, he has a lot in common with Coles then.

Just kidding, love ya Coles, sorry about the Stepdad.

Revis was getting gift after gift in th highlight reel. Something tells me those weren't the plays which resulted in him being so highly regarded. I was slightly more impressed with the Harris film. Most of the time he played smart, he worked well through traffic and he mostly made solid tackles, but a few of those highlights he took the wrong gap, a few other times players were flushed right to him by, oh say, Woodley, and on one of the quick outlet passes there was no way he would ahve caught up with an NFL back. Stuckey really kind of stood out. He showed great concentration and nice agility, though it seemed like he was not quite able to juke many of those players. If he had a bit more bulk or a bit more agility it looked like he might have broken a few of those plays for longer gains.

Of course... its a highlight video. You wouldn't see them showing his highlights if he wasn't in "play after play"...

"not tackling with his body"??? What in God's name does that mean??? I admit I had no idea who Harris was when they picked him, but the first thing that jumped out at me was his outstanding tackling technique. It's called "wrapping up"...it's what GOOD tacklers do.

Too many knuckleheads are more interested in making ESPN highlights reels by delivering devastating blows, rather than making the goddamn tackle. It looks great when it works, but more often than not a good player evades it and goes for more yards. Watch last year's playoff game and see how many times Miller, Coleman, etc. went for the big hit and missed. Poor tackling cost us the game as much as anything.

And by the way, the power behind devastating hits comes from the LEGS, not the body.

Oh calm down already, I was just going off of what I see in the highlight reels.

But his technique from what is one the video posted isn't what works in the NFL, most of these backs, especially in our division, will eat a guy alive if he's going for the ankles and dragging guys down by their jersey. It's what I meant by tackling with his body. The more I see of him will probably alleviate my concerns more, but it's my opinion so get over it.

BTW, the stuff in that video is a piss-poor example of 'wrapping him up'.
