I think fair expectations for a rookie QB in the 1st round are a passer rating of at least 78, a completion percentage in the 58-60 range, and more TDs than picks.

    Tannehill has a 75.9 rating, a 58.7% completion percentage, 10 TDs and 12 picks.

I think he has done far better than I was expecting given his lack of college experience at the position ... perhaps it could be fair to compare the rookie statistics of Sanchez at the end of the year.

Does Tannehill flash promise? absolutely. Does he do it consistently? No. That will be the key to his development. He needs to produce more TDs and continue to show growth as he has lately.

Would you take him over Luck and RGIII now? NO but give him some time and I think he will close the gap.

Tannehill is dreadful. I don't know why he has been hyped up so much. Good for us Jets fans because it will take miami another 3 years to realize that. And only now after R. Wilson is destroying teams like the 49ers is everyone on the bandwagon, in week 3 they were screaming for matt flynn. That shows you that the mainstream "experts" don't have a clue.

He has not been dreadful. Of course you had to go to the extreme end of the spectrum because you want to get a response
