The Texans would have been THRILLED if we pulled the Miami game out of our back sides. They'd still be in this thing.
if we played like we did late in the year we would have lost in WC rd, if we played like we were capable of we'd probably be playing next Sunday.
I disagree. Houston may have lost to the Ravens, but they looked much better than the Jets did at any point this past year.
I agree. I didn't think that way heading into week 17 but after watching Houston in the playoffs, their pass rush would have eaten us up.
Agreed. Texans were for real, as evidenced by their play against Baltimore. Yates was terrible, and even so the defense kept them in the game. With a halfway decent QB, OR without Jones fielding punts with is facemask, they are likely on their way to New England for the AFC Championship game.
Oh boy, another "blame it all on Sanchez" guy. Gimme a break. He wasn't very good but they surrounded him with crap. The team was VERY different from 2010. No Braylon Edwards, which was huge. Bad offensive line. Their old linebackers a year older. No way they go into Houston and win.
Too good to not win a game or two? It's not 2010 anymore, stop looking at those 2010 highlights and come back to earth and reality. THis is not hte same team, and there were NO gimme teams for them by the end of the year. THey went 8-8 with a creampuff schedule and you think they would have "turned it on" on the road against a divsion winner?!? Why didn't they "turn it on" against the Giants or the Dolphins?
You can't really answer this. If they snuck in at 8-8 of course they would have been one and done. If they won the Giants and Miami game which they needed to get in then that would have been what 5 out of their last 6. They could have beaten anyone if that happened. Of course that would probably mean Sanchez, hunter..etc would have been playing better.
and our defense would of probably assassinated TJ Yates, did you see those awful throws he made to Andre Johnson, you guys can't honestly say we would have lost to the Texans without Matt Shaub, no way.
Sanchez and the Jets offense would be lucky to score more than 7 points. The Texans defense would have made him look foolish.
Yes. Yes you can. You clearly missed the last 3 games, and for that matter, a significant portion of the season.
Not sure how people think the Jets could have scored at all on Houston. Have you guys seen that defense? Their defense is better than our defense, and unlike the Jets, they actually have an identity on offense, and Arian Foster and Andre Johnson are far better than any offensive weapons we have. Revis would have taken Andre out of the game, but Houston's rushing game still would give us issues. That would have been a close game, don't think we'd score enough points to win it though.
I think we do, Jones turned the ball over on their like 5 yard line, we were top 3 in the red zone this season so I'm pretty sure we can score there. Ravens offense looked just as bad as ours that game and they still pulled it out of their ass but I don't see that offense scoring more then 14 on our defense.
You do realize no team held the Jets under 14 points all year? That is just a bias statement made with no reasoning. If the Jets made the playoffs it meant they probably won 2/3 of the last 3 games. This would make them 5/6 as a previous poster said and at that point anything is possible. If they went in hot we would have won as we can put Revis on Andre and Yates was forcing throws to Andre no matter what. The 8-8 team we actually saw that lost 3 straight could have stood a chance against HOU, but they probably would have lost.
