We havn't been this close to drafting a franchise QB in a long time. Houston seems willing to trade the #1 pick. Abraham is giving us the extra package we need to move up. Even if its for a 3rd. rd. too, we have to do it. There have been a lot of 3rd. rd. busts.

Screw it man.. the draft is about risk and gamble... if you always go for the safe pick you will never hit on a great.Giants rolled the dice and eli and it worked out for them.

I'm not sure it has worked out gor the Giants yet. Manning looks like he is going to be a very good qb in the NFL, but he's not there now, at least NIMO. A better example would have been Ben Rothlisberger. I'm just not sold on any of the qb's in this draft. If I was I'd be all for taking the qb I liked

I agree Leinart really does resemble Chad in so many ways starting with that suspect arm strength. I would pass on trading to the number one spot and I dont think we will or even draft a QB in the first round, If we did I would be highly upset.

Leinart seems like a "sure thing". cutler seems like a total wild card, could wind up being the next ryan leaf. in interviews he also sounds like a selfish prick.

if we trade up to #1 though, it better be for R-E-G-G-I-E

the guy would be a matinee idol in NY

dude, you can't compare Leinart's arm strength to Chad's. They're not even close (Leinart is FAR superior). Leinart doesn't have Brett Favre's arm, but how many NFL QB's do?

Michael Vick has a rocket arm but his accuracy sucks. Leinart's arm strength is above average and he can make pretty much every throw on the field, except maybe a 65 yard hail mary...

thats what im saying comparing chads are to leinart is crazy.his arm strength its fine it only a question cause he doesnt have many other weaknesses and they need so way to critic the guy.

The problem is this, you already have one QB that doesn't like getting hit, and considering Leinarts next pass rush will be his first, do you really want two? Cutler, like Brady has already shown the ability to take a beating, and put up perforance with a far lesser cast.
