1.You pick him and trade him 2.Trade out for multi picks 3.worst case pick him and use his ass 4.do NOT leave him on the board past 6
Hated Leinart said so left handed Pennington, wanted Cutler or Young but only if he fell to us not in a trade up, big mistake passing on Cutler. I have no clue on McFadden, but if he is a can't miss game breaker, best on the board when we pick, I think we could use him. This team has almost nothing on O that would keep any DC up at night. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=5756&highlight=Leinart&page=2
Just take a look at this , might change your mind http://www.nfl.com/videos;jsessionid=DEDAB73AFB618BCFBD9637B1E12971B5?videoId=09000d5d806a7d2e
wow 71 people willing to give up all that value in a trade. I'm just glad none of you are the Jets GM..
You'd actually need a team to trade down with...and I like our pick alot...it's just outside the cloudy top 5 but perfect to get one of the better talents in the draft.
You can't judge today's NYJ running backs with this year's OL. If, and that is a very big word ["I-F"], we build up the OL to pass block AND to run block, then we might be able to judge our RBs. Judging them now is like taking Jim Brown and breaking one of his legs and tying his right hand to it, and after that say with a grin on your mug, "okay, go out for 1,600 now, man!" Just doesn't make sense.
the only team i can see willing to give up the picks is dallas. if what they're saying is true, about how much jones loves this guy, i think we have to trade the pick. i may be crazy, but dmc, does'nt seem like a can't miss prospect, in my eyes.
This video is all you should need to see to pass on McFadden. The most import point he makes is about how his legs "stop" upon contact. Anyone comparing him to Adrian Peterson is out of there frikin mind.
I see some comparions to AD like game breaking speed, moves, and size, but McFadden does run like a bitch. Peterson wants to score every carry. I'm sticking by this until the draft: Rashard Mendenhall is the best running back in the draft.
I saw the same game 'as live' and thought it back then. I actually think that carrying the ball in the wrong hand is even more of a cardinal sin , fumblitus.
That's something that's coachable though. Being a bitch is just part of your DNA, I know from personal experience.
Funny how every elite prospect is now going to be better than a guy that was on pace to crush Eric Dickersons rookie record, a once in a generation event and/or talent .......GMAMFB.
Im officailly on the pass on McFadden side, if Dallas wants him so bad i would trade him to their in a second no regrets.McFadden is not on Petersons level as ive stated for awhile now and watching that video it seems he doenst break tackles and stops on contact. He has great speed but it isnt Reggie Bush type speed Highsmith is a very fast lb at about 230 but he shouldnt of have been been able to almost nab DMC. He will be a very good player but not overwhelmingly better than Mendenhall. I do have to say that if for some reason Dallas doesnt wanna make a deal i think we have to pick McFadden based on the upside and game breaking ability
I love the way you guys are basing your opinions on this guy on a clip that showed about 3 plays. The kid has some serious talent, maybe he isn't on the level of Peterson is right now, Peterson himself didnt reach that level until he went out and had the best season a rookie runner has ever had. At this point before the draft there will always be questions about every prospect available, just as there were with Peterson last year. If McFadden is on the board at 6 and the Jets get an offer they cant refuse then by all means trade down. The 28th pick in the draft or Barber is nowhere near enough to pass on that kind of talent.
Maybe I'm crazy but I feel that with the right line in front of him, Leon Washington could be a game-breaker. He' got the speed and the moves. What he needs is the wide open lane and a little extra down field help and he's off to the races. We MUST improve our run blocking. We NEED a road-grater at either G or RT Tackle (Both???). Once that is accomplished, the running game sets up one of Pennington's' (love him or hate him, he's still our QB) strengths. The play action pass. The only way that I'll agree on taking a RB at #6 is if we have already addressed our problems at NT, pass-rushing animal, Guard (both sides), and Right Tackle through free agency. If not, then either pick the BPA at one of those positions or trade down (if possible).
