Haha did i touch a nerve? You are really not very smart, but go ahead and tell yourself how valid and informed you are with your faux argument. Leave the football talk to the big boys and go back to bashing every movie that comes out.

I personally thought comparing Cousins to Glennon and Osweiller was pretty dumb.

If any of you cousins supporters can actually pull out information that supports your stance, go ahead. But i thinl ive posted more than enough to support mine.

Its pretty clear from your post history, youre not exactly a good judge of football talent so im perfect fine of you dont like what i said.

Junc, is that you? (hint — it’s not a compliment when you practice the Junc “I’m simply smarter than you” declaration of debate).

When your ready to support the argument you think you’ve made, I’m a notification away from reading and responding to it.

But you’ve given every excuse in the book to avoid actually supporting your position other than your dog ate it.

Look at all the QB contracts around the league, the first 3 years max are guaranteed minus injury. Hell Stafford signed him record contract last year and he isn't guaranteed for 2018. The dead money would be the prorated signing bonus which could be easily absorbed. Besides he's just 30 and that's when QBs are usually coming into their prime. There's no reason not to expect him to be able to play beyond the initial 5 years.

This coming from the guy who gave a vague opinion as an argument not supported by any stats? Yet you claim i cherry picked a stat and that doesnt count?

No no see it doesnt work like that. Youre not a judge or someone who needs to validate the facts. Fact is i already provided information multiple stats actually. Problem is youre too lazy to do research. To ya know actually support your position. So you try and obfuscate an opinion ad fact by saying, "you didnt prove your point" as tho its some reverse psychology. Doesnt work like that.

Not to mention you completely missed the point of the prevailing opinion on not signing him in the first place. Like i said your tactic is childish, its what my 8 yr old does, but that doesn't work on me. So either put up or shut up. Spinning it doesnt work. Youre clearly not very informed about the sport and its players, and from what i can tell, pretty much anything else. Leave that to the people who understand. Im sure you have some rotten tomatoes reviews to post.

The average nfl player retires around 30. I have no idea where this myth about qbs coming into their prime in their 30s comes from but im sure it not accurate. Maybe if the qb is talented, but most qbs dont get better after 30, realisticly no player in the NFL does.

zace, I always liked your posts, but Osweiler played 7 games before he hit free agency. Glennon was a backup QB for 2 years before he hit FA. Cousins has 57 starts and a pro bowl appearance. He's obviously a different beast, like him or not, he's at a different level than those 2 guys

Its not about how much they played, it's about giving bad contracts to overrated qbs. The grass is always greener theory. No deal is bad of its for the right price, but 25 to 30 for a qb with a losing record as a starter, a 44% red zone completion percentage and a losing record when throwing 30 or more times screams overrated. Yes he has a larger body of work than the others, but he hasnt shown himself to be anything beyond them either.

Ive seen a lot of cousins as i said before because of where i live, and ive never been impressed. He plays from behind alot and when teams go into prevent mode. He accumulates a lot of junk stats that way. He has to have a great team around hom to be successful, but if you invest 30 mil in him, how can you sustain that?

He makes terrible decisions and his accuracy is spotty. Yeah it looks good when he hits it, but he looks just as bad at times as well. His best record is a 9-7 season as a fulk starter which included being curb stomped by our new york jets, and a uear in which they played a god awful NFC east 6 times. He still only managed a 9-7 season. That team had talent then. They havent been talentless in a long time.

There is a reason Washington would rather have an aging Alex Smith over him long-term.

Actually not true. Red zone efficiency is a product of the team. Hard to be efficient and have a presence without a consistent running game, play calling, the right receivers. To pin it all on the QB is nonsnese

How are the cannolis in your fantasy land? Worth the price of the lobotomy to join you?

It takes an off the charts amount of delusion and lack of self awareness to state that you’ve posted your argument in another thread and it’s someone else’s job to look it up, as opposed to simply posting your argument in a second thread after you’ve voluntarily started another debate in it, and accuse that other person of being lazy.

44 percent completion percentage is everyone else? So then youre giving him more credit than he deserves?

    No thats him.

QBs are playing longer then ever with the rule changes to protect them 37 years is the average age of retirement The only position that plays longer is Kicker. Possibly long snapper, I'd have to look that up. Look at the age of QBs to play in the super Bowl. How many are 30 or over?
Wasn't the knock on Manning that he couldn't win a big game, then at 30 it all changed. Not saying Cousins will lead us to a Super Bowl win, but It's more than reasonable to expect him to play out a 5 year contract and very possible that he continues to play at his current level or better in the next few years.

I havent seen anything that says the average age is 37. TB, PM, TR, VT, JM ate exceptions to the rules. He could very well play 5 years, but that isn't a lock by any stretch. Especially if he doesnt play well.

Then look it up. That's the average age of Retirement for NFL QBs and it's 38 for kickers and punters.

It’s already been pulled out. Comparing two backups that exhibited close to no signs of being a high level starter to a guy that’s consistently in the top 10-15 across most statistical categories was dumb. There’s no other word for it. Dumb.

I certainly dont see anything that supports that. The Average qb is indeed higher than most, at a whopping 4.44 years. The average nfl career according to the NFLPA is 3.3 years. I cant imagine its that high at all because most guys retire beforw that. Hell some dont make it to their 30s.

I really had no idea his career red zone completion percentage was 44%. fwiw this year it was 50% (as was Rivers)

Brees led the league this year with 67% in the red zone
