We would have traded away our 1st round pick to the Steelers for Heath Miller, and drafted a kicker with the #29 and a punter with 35.

They would have drafted Bryan's Thomas's brother and then turned down a trade offer from the Ravens to trade him for Ed Reed.

No Doubt. - Bradway probably throws in next years 2nd rounder as well.

They wouldn't have the balls to take both D'Brick and Mangold. Germ and Bradway don't believe in improving the OL with young players. Good riddance.

Well, I think the whole draft hinges on whether or not we trade John Abraham under the Hermway regime. If we do, I think we end up settling for a 2nd or 3rd round pick from either ATL or WASH.

Coming up to the draft, Bradway would once again do something drastic a' la trading up for DRob and get Mario Williams. So we trade the second or third from the Abe trade in addition to the #4 pick and our third this year, and a 1st and/or 2nd next year. Because Bradway doesn't rebuild.

If we tag John Abe, I think we stand pat and draft D'brick. And some other players that will have to drip their way onto the field via starter injuries.

Or Clemmens with the gaudy half a season run and shoot stats. Current FO is too young to remember the other fabulous run and shoot QB's like David Klingler, Andre Ware (Heisman Trophy), Danny Weurfel (Heisman Trophy). No excuse for them to have not remebered Tommy Chang of Hawaii who in 2004 set NCAA passing records in the run and shoot offense at Hawaii.

I seem to remeber that when Mangini and Tanny went to CA to work out Leinart they actually went to Oregon and worked out Clemens. Something tells me they didn't work him out in the run and shoot.

Most of the people in this forum who were here during the Herm/Bradway era LOVED Herm & Bway & defended him to the hilt. Without even thinking I can come up with at least 10 if you want?

Do any of you really care what they would have done? I do not think they would have done anything different at least with the top to picks but really who cares?

    exactly my feeling...who cares?

I was anti-Herm and so so Bradway, but they are history. I'm not here to bash the old regime, unless something they did efffects us negatively today.

Now, if you want to talk about KC's draft? Most experts thought they did lousy...but that should be on the NFL Forum, not here...

I love Tannenbaum and Tangini so far!

I am not drinking the Kool-aid yet on Tannenbaoun and Mangini. Good draft yes but remember our coach was a coordinator for only one year and quite frankly as a Defensive Coordinator I do not think he was as good as Donnie Henderson. As bad as the Jets were last year the defense did keep us in a lot of games.

I agree. Who cares, though if I were to guess, I think this may have had a chance of happening: Pennington does not redo contract for nearly what it was, CUrtis not forced into anything over-board on re-structuring, Mawae still here, Abraham deal cut, mega-cap problems persist into the draft, we have no money to manuver, we trade down and sacrafice talent, we don't come anywhere close to fixing the o-line, Ramsey is not here, and we never got the #29 pick. We go into this season with only a marginal chance of outdoing our performance of last year.

The next coach who takes over in 2007 has it that much worse than what Mangini had to deal with and so on, and so on.

In short, if the old crew were still here we would be targeted for disaster.

Yeah, the 4 we won, and maybe 2 more. Tangini showed infinitely better preparation and planning in this years draft than the last 2 combined. Granted there were some trade down/ trade up things done that were dicey, but we got full value out of our first 2 picks and in the process of executing the rest we picked up a 2nd rounder for next year.

The orchestration of this year's draft far away surpassed anything I have seen in the last few years. The proof will be in the production of the acquired talent. That jury is out until the 2006 season unfolds and beyond.

If Herm and Bradway were doing our draft, they would've picked Marcus Vick and said it was a steal...then Herm would've said "Remember boys, you play to win the game"

I could see them drafting Davis. Herm was in love with Winslow the year he came out.

I agree that the FO seemed not only prepared but they were not going to be swayed by the sexy pick, i.e. lienhart at 4 So good job there. Getting the second rounder for next year also a good deal
