Sweed looks like he has excellent footwork. That would actually improve his "game speed"... I would like this guy if we traded down and then picked him.

Also looks like he has great burst, but definitely not straight line speed.

He doesn't have straight line speed? The kid ran a 4.4...isn't that considered straight line speed?

I'm basing that presumption on the video I watched, he caught the ball, stopped and took off on a dime, right past 3 defenders, but once he got into the stretch another player was able to cross the field and nail him before he really got very far.

I'm more concerned with game speed than combine speed.

For what it is worth, a lot of the Mock Drafts have changed tune this week and many have shifted to the Oakland Raiders taking McFadden.

I think the Jets are going to go CB, and my pick would be Rodgers-Cromartie. I think he is going to be special.

I think were gonna target a cornerback with big time punt return ability. That would give us the best secondary in all of football and easily the most dangerous special teams- Think of Washington and Miller on kick returns(where to kick?) and our big play corner on punt returns(Maybe Cromartie- Im not sure which of the top corners is supposed to be good on punt returns)

I have a strong feeling that we're looking to enter 2008 with an elite defense and special teams(Think attempt at Ayanbadejo). If Gholston is gone at 6, trading down to take or just taking a corner with big punt return ability makes all the sense in the world. Our special teams becomes easily the best in football and moves us that much closer to having an elite defense. We grab the best available pass rushing OLB with pick #36, and away we go.

We would dominate the field position game.

If Gholston and McFadden are both gone i say we look at Leodis McKelvin him and Revis would be krazy but i wouldnt mind Sedrick Ellis everybody is saying he would be a great 3-4 Linemen.

The best secondary in all of football if we get one more CB are u serious Krhodes, we wouldnt have anything close to the best secondary. Rhodes is great and Revis is good but there are alot of teams out there wid great corners and good safetys we have one and one. I think we def. need a CB or WR, we jus signed Pace for big money so I dont see us drafting a DE or LB. So im thinking they are gonna trade number 6 and get either two late first and go wid a CB and WR at those spots.

Limas Sweed made Vince Young look like a better passer than he really is, saying that i still think Kelly and Manningham are better prospects with Sweed beating #3.Too high for the #6 pick.

If im the Titans i trade up to get Sweed i haven't seen Young look that good passing in a while

Yeah definitely. Cromartie is older than Revis. Still DRC is a damn good corner. I'd rather take out 2 over him though.

You are correct - by 2008 Antonio Cromartie had already led the NFL in interceptions the previous season.

What I find more interesting is that there isn't a single post here suggesting that taking Gholston would be a bad idea. And two other suggested players, Limas Sweed and Leodis McKelvin, have been busts. Shows you how the draft can really be a crapshoot.
