Warner is the guy I want next year if Favre doesn't come back...of course our enemic receivers don't compare at all to Fitzgerald, Boldin and Breaston.
I didn't say he was great...I didn't say I wanted him over Ryan... I said, maybe they should interview. Due diligence, that's what the Jets said they were doing, right? Comprehensive search, right? Relax
Is this why the Cardinals made the playoffs every year with Warner and Fitzgerald and no Haley? end sarcasm To imply Haley is nothing special at all and has had nothing to do with the success of the Cardinals offense is cuckoo. Haley worked under Bill Parcells with the Jets and Cowboys. He is well thought of around the league. He has excellent rapport with his players. The day Mangini was fired, I wrote here that I wanted Leslie Frazier or Todd Haley to become the next Jets head coach. I'm not surprised at all that the Jets had no interest in either guy. The Jets rarely do anything right. Haley was interviewed by Steve Somers last night on WFAN. The interview might still be available at www.wfan.com.
I think at this point....unless Rex Ryan has a change of heart (a la Belichick)...Haley won't be a part of the equation.
Imagine if he was the Jets coach..........Coles would be doing more than yelling at Haley. Anyways Chiefs may look at him possibly if Herm is canned by Pioli. http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/01/18/chiefs-could-consider-cardinals-haley/
It's not exactly a league secret. Hey, it doesn't hurt to have a healthy Warner and a monster WR to make an offense look pretty good. I never said Haley has no part in it...only that it doesn't particularly take a genius to get success with those players.
Haley's a good candidate, but not as proven as others and he's certainly not worth dragging the search on for two more weeks.
haley is good but we cannot pass up on a great defensive guy like ryan. i think haley needs to prove himself a little more, he needs consistancy.
