It took Cowher 15 years to win a Super Bowl in Pittsburgh, and with better talent on average than we currently have. I know I'm in the minority, and will probably be mocked for feeling this way, but I think Marty Schottenheimer would be a better choice.
His team went 14-2 the year he got fired. His teams are in the playoffs every year. Norv Turner just went 8-8 with pretty much the same talent Marty had to work with. I see your point. Marty must be crap. He'd make Mangini, in hindsight, look like Vince Lombardi.
my point is...set your standards are a little higher. I don't want some guy that is notorious for tanking in the playoffs either....
