What do you mean ok? Top QBs get those short tosses for big gains all the time You are really a troll. You aren't worth the time.
They forced New England to kick 5 field goals, 3 of which came off interceptions and one of which a shanked punt. The Jets D stopped the Jets from getting boat raced. Gotta score more than 10 to win in today’s NFL (fuck that last drive)
Very simple, NE played 60 minutes...how many did we? Amen... IMHO he is not the answer. I have seen to many ill advised throws, throwing off the back foot, not throwing the ball out of bounds but chucking it in the field of play, throws behind WR, dirt balls still... yet we are told that he is better,,, Its laughable... as another poster stated: "I am not even sure he is a game manager." I have to agree without a running game he simply - at this point - not good enough to carry a team... and BTW - he has a lot of talent so no excuses.
Everyone on this board knew that running the ball in how you beat New England, yet our backfield had a total of 14 carries. MLF with "smartest man in the room" syndrome.
If you think the D had nothing to do with the loss today then there’s nothing I can do to help. You’re technically correct that they made “numerous 2H stops” but they also allowed the game to go from 10-6 going into half to 10-19 before the 3rd quarter was over. Offense had a terrible game. Defense has a terrible 2nd half. Both can be true.
I completely disagree. The Jets clearly played pissed off. They were trying to kill the Patriots on defense. Mosley, Reed and JFM were lighting up Mac. You could argue they played with too much fire on defense because the JFM penalty was unnecessary. They lost because the QB and special teams were abysmal.
Ok so we run it 30x today. We going to sit here and act like we have a QB? Team has some major issues. Very weak OL play again with the backups and scrubs starting at this point for us. Team will lose plenty more this year
As evidenced by all those 3rd and long the Jets stopped? JFM was stupid, not angry. Yes the pass rush was good today but outside of the D, the rest of the team choked. Tell me ONE play where the offense played angry? ST's basically went thru the motions just like the offense. The defense, after the RTP, tried to stay motivated but you could feel the futility of the effort knowing MLF and Zach would fck it up in the long run. Sorry, but I didn't see anything close to all the BS that was in the media leading up to this game. From what I saw, it looked like just another game today from the Jets' effort
Even with our patchwork Oline, the running game has been our strength on offense. We don't have a QB. The Bears won last week with the running game and a QB who has taken more heat than Zach. They gave us the blueprint and MLF tore it up.
It was the strength because we had Adrian Peterson 2.0 we lucked out and drafted. Carter is a 3rd down back at best. We can’t establish the run with this talent, not with a QB nobody respects.
We could at least TRY TO! Its not like we got 3 guys who can't run just like Carter. Running back by commitee would have worked today. A major mistake was deactivating Bam Knight who would have given the running game a boost. JR has knee issues and virtually no burst. TY didn't even see the field. MLF decided to write off the running game because Hall was out. That is a complete disservice to the other backs on the roster.
Yeah, I disagree. Not converting on defense on 3rd and long has nothing to do with anger. They didn't execute in those spots. And like I said, it looked like they were trying to destroy Mac Jones in the 1st half, so it looked like they played with fire. Not stopping crossing routes on 3rd and 10 has nothing to do with being pissed off or complacent. Offenses don't need to play angry. They need to execute.
Sure. Still doesn’t change the fact our QB is now clearly not it. We will do that vs Buffalo to avoid embarrassment.
It wouldn't hurt to play with emotion too. They're human, not robots. If all that talk this week about remembering last year's ass kicking was accurate, we would have seen it on both sides of the ball. Ulbrich didn't blitz on 3rd and long knowing Jones was gonna pass. MLF didn't use all his weapons today but instead, relied on Zach to win the game. Looked to me like todays' game was nothing special. Just another Sunday and if that was the case, they shouldn't have ran their collective mouths all week long starting with Saleh. Once again... All Gas
There's not a chance in hell the Jets win next week against the Bills. None. The only drama will be how long Zach stays in the game before Mike "The Legend" White comes in. MLF has zero confidence in the run game with Hall out and Zach just is overmatched at the QB position at this point. I miss the old days when QB prospect had to sit a few years behind a vet. Would have helped Zach.
Too bad they just can't forfeit the game and spare the Bills the trip. Next Sunday will be nothing but a scrimmage for them and another ass kicking for us.
