Intresting story this as come jan , after almost 3 years of investigation , court cases etc , 34 essendon afl players(12 still on the list) will find out from CAS whether they are guilty of taking TB4 a banned drug by WADA. There were no positive tests involved but slimy characters similar to those in the story. There are no records allegedly of what supplements ? Players took but black ops , doctor shopping , dodgy chemists, sports scientists ,convicted drug dealers , lots of denials when the story broke. Very dejavu but unlike the afl , the nfl is not connected with WADA so this story may dissolve into nothing. If you have a spare 3 years goto www.bigfooty.com and go to HTB forum and read thousands of threads and a hundreds of thousands of posts by Essendon fans in denial and opposition fans going in for the kill.
He recanted before the story was written which is pretty much what you would expect from a terrorist news organization anyway.
I almost hoped that it was true so the traditional sports press like ESPN etc would be scooped by Al Jarezza. That would have been fun to watch.
Not if it was HGH. Regular steroids do build lots of muscle tissue, and a professional athlete would get a physique beyond what is humanly possible to achieve without drugs. So in that case I agree it'd be very obvious. But HGH just promotes cell repair and growth, which means your wounds will heal faster and you will recover from workouts more quickly. (On the downside, you are more likely to get cancer and your organs will grow larger inside of your body.) If HGH is taken with steroids, it boosts muscle growth even more, so yeah those guys would get even bigger. (This is part of why Mr. Olympia competitors today have 80+ lbs of pure muscle beyond what Arnold Schwarzenneger had.) But if it's taken without steroids, it will have basically no effect on the physique at all.
I believe Manning. I don't think he juiced. I saw the interview and he reacted like a person would react if they were wrongfully accused of something. Call me naive I don't care. Brady acted like a little asshole with something to hide the whole time, so it felt like he was definitely lying and it turns out he was. either way fuck them both
They need to just open up a period of time in the NFL offseasons where players are allowed to use such products to help their bodies recover. I mean I'm sure they all do it anyways but we're talking about human gladiators.
you are right its possible they all do it anyways. Meanwhile, here's J.J. Watt his senior year in high school. this is before the lanky awkward kid spent time on the practice team at Central Michigan, quit, and delivered pizzas for a little while before saying "the hell with that! I think I'll walk onto Wisconsin and become a monster in the NFL in 3 short years"
I knew Brian Cushing when he was in HS. Let's just say he ate a lot of spinach in college. But he did get busted. _
A-Rod also reacted in that manner. How did that work out? Brady acted in a manner like anyone would at that point. He was under the illusion that the footballs were 2psi under the official limit. I would find that shocking if I had to stand on a podium and explain myself at that point. Turns out the balls weren't even deflated. However there is way more lying going on in this case. The dude who is the whistleblower was taped in secret, so he wasn't trying to become front page news. After Manning denied the claim, the clinic stated that this guy didn't work there in 2011, but 2013. Which was a lie, because Al Jazeera had previously taped a phone call to the clinic and the employee told Al Jazeera, that the whistleblower was indeed there in 2011 and that she knew him. Why would the clinic owner lie about that? Peyton might not have done nothing wrong, but nobody has denied that HGH was shipped to Mannings house. But I guess it was only for his wife. Just like Roger Clemens. SMH. Also, this would be the only story in the news if this was Tom Brady they were talking about. But hey, Manning came back from a million neck surgeries to have the best year of his career. Hard work really pays off. Unfortunately HGH doesn't affect the mental side, so Manning was his usual self in the Super Bowl.
Yeah okay, bunch of bullshit about your hero Brady that I definetely don't give a shit about and is complete bullshit. As for manning I already said fuck them both so I really don't care if it's true or not I am just saying it was my opinion.
In denial still, "Turns out the balls weren't even deflated", seriously? I guess I can understand why the fans of a team that glorifies cheating would have your view though. It is the P*triot way. Not just cheating but glorifying it.
Lol every single football was deflated and a guy nicknamed "the deflator" illegally took the footballs into a bathroom with no urinal to take a leak. They seem to get some comfort that they ALL weren't a full 2 psi under. Every single football was deflated under the allowed minimum level. _
Not to take this off topic but when a franchise puts a lawn mower that helped them cheat in it's hall of fame then you know there is a major problem with the ethics of that entire organization.
