No doubt its gonna be the "Toughest" regular season game all year against a healthy beast of a team in the Titans. At there house. We Win where fuckin GREAT.
well the titans are very unimpressive to me. i really feel the jets match up perfectly with them. revis can handle gage. after gage the titans dont have much in the way of passing as long as they prepare to stop the screens and short stuff to the tight end. obviously the jets can keep the running game in check. and the titans dont appear to have the ability to spread out the jets effectively as the chiefs and pats have done with success. on offense it will be tough going. the running game wont be much of a factor against that defense. hopefully they can be just effective enough to keep the defense honest. if favre can stay patient like he was last week he should be able to put up some points. i think we will see keller having another big day. he seems to have become the saftey net for favre. if the big play isn't there just get it to keller.
Packers took them to OT, so they are beatable. Jets may or may not be quite as good as Pack overall, not yet, but they're not that far off either. I think the Jets match up reasonably well to the Titans.
watched the entire game on a stream. they dont scare me. what did they really do that made them seem unbeatable? they hit some home runs to gage and thats about it. revis will eat gage up all day. i dont think this game is going to be easy by any stretch. i just think the jets happen to match up pretty well with the titans. we aren't going to see collins scrambling for 15 yards out of the spread on sunday. we probably aren't going to see any form of a spread offense from the titans. the only type of offense that has had consistent success against the jets defense is the hurry up spread offense that teams have resorted to after falling behind. the cardinals, pats, and chiefs all used with great results. i dont see the titans having that ability. i see this being a tough grind it out game. maybe 20-17 something along those lines. i see the jets being able to pull off a close hard fought win. the reason for this is that the titans dont have any particular strength that the jets are incapable of countering.
I'd put one of our safeties on Scaife full time. He's their top receiver, yes, but his size creates a mismatch with Revis. I'd have no problem with Rhodes playing short and covering up Scaife/giving run support.
I love it... CBS sportsline has a countdown till the Jets Titans game... when was the last time we seen something like that?
The one thing that concerns me about the game is the turnover factor. We won't have an easy time running the ball against Tennessee, and they won't have an easy time running the ball against us. Both teams have proven adept at forcing turnovers thus far. The difference is, they rarely give up the football and we're close to the AFC lead in giveaways. Provided we see the Favre we've seen in the last two games and protect the football, I think we win.
