    they think he's a 4th year player.

Calling Kellen a better game manager is hilarious. The dude had easy throws he simply did not make against a 1 win team.

OK, we can play with our new Zhu-Zhu QB, but it's not worth the antimony poisoning we might contract.

By your logic, Gholston should be starting just because he was the 6th overall pick. (Not exactly a fair comparison, I'll admit)

Yes, Sanchez is the future, but this team presently needs someone who's going to keep the ball out of the other team's hands.

Trent Dilfer, a Clemens-esque game manager, won a SB throwing 12 completions for 153 yards and 1 TD and ZERO INTs working with a somewhat similar team to the '09 Jets.

Dan Marino, a much better QB, has as many SB rings as I do.

I don't want a star QB, I want the Jets to have the best chance at winning a SB as possible.

Right now, I'm not sure Sanchez gives us a better chance to win. I hope I'm wrong.

The Gholston comparison is awful, it is a completely different situation. If Marino had Dilfer's defense he would have more then 1 ring.

On offense the 2000 Ravens may have been similar to the Jets, but their defense was one of the best in the history of the game. The Jets defense is getting there, but they aren't good enough to carry the team to the Super Bowl. I can't believe that anyone that truly watched and understood what they were seeing under center against the Bucs on Sunday would believe that Clemens is anything but an emergency backup, there not to throw the game away when the starter gets hurt.

Sanchez is easily far more talented than Clemens will ever be, and he needs to be on the field at this point. Backing into the playoffs with Clemens throwing ducks into the stands isn't going to win any Super Bowls. Might as well let the rookie some experience.

no, that's all he needs to do against a team like the Bucs. in case you haven't noticed, they are one of the most inept teams in the league and the rest of the Jets opponents are considerably better, and against them we will need more productivity from our QB to be successful, productivity Clemmens isn't capable of. or are you attempting to claim that all teams are equal and what works against one will most certainly work against the rest? if not, your argument is irrelevant and lacks any sort of football knowledge or analysis.

There are people that want to only play Sanchez in the sunshine and temperatures above 60degrees Farenheit. Perhaps they would feel better if we put BabyBoy in a red jersey during real games so he won't get hit that hard.

Perhaps drafting a SoCal kid with one questionable knee was a mistake in that its alot to ask a Cali kid to play professional football outdoors in the cold, in the winter, maybe even in the rain or snow God Forbid.

We're gonna find out a lot about our 50million dollah Babyboy on Sunday.

That was part of the gameplan when Sanchez was injured.

I know Clemens sucks and I cursed his name Sunday when he sailed throws over open receivers. I know Sanchez is far more talented and has much more up-side. But if Sanchez throws 3 picks against the Falcons and costs us the game while negating a great game by Thom Jones/O-line and the defense, I'm gonna throw up on myself.

I understand where you're coming from. But don't you agree that it's just gonna be frustrating as hell if we finish the season with a top 5 rushing game, a top 5 overall-defense and no play-off appearance?

If that turns out the to be the case, the major source of blame (even if you did buy his jersey after week 3) has to be the QB who has so far thrown 17 picks in 12 games.

Peyton Manning threw 100 interceptions in his first 5 years as a starter.

Before the season began, I thought that Clemens should start and Sanchez should get into the lineup if Clemens shit the bed and the season had no salvation.

But Rex and Co decided to put the rookie in, and there have been mxed results. He has thrown games away and he has led the team to victory and he has managed games in a conservative attack. He's learning different modes of play, and if he throws a game away, even this weekend, you live and die by him because he is now the face of your team.

Clemens managed now to throw the game away against a very bad football team. That doesn't make him a better option.

would you rather have the date that's wild and spontaneous and breaks your heart... or the ugly one who's safe and can still fuck everything up?

Clemens looked below average against a 1 win team.

I can only imagine what a mediocre but tough team like the Falcons would do to him.

I understand your philosophy about KC and MS, personally I would have to place the initial blame on BS. For some unexplained reason he expected MS to play like a 4 year veteran and carry the offense, however this had the opposite results, it exposed him to the point where he was becoming a liability instead of an asset.

MS and KC won the last three games partly due to a more controlled offensive system that did not rely on them to carry the offense, which is what you and all other Jets fans want to see for now.

In time when MS becomes a more experienced QB and the game slows down for him, I'm sure you will see him contribute to the team and our passing game will be better.

Rex also put the color coded system in for him but I believe it also restricts BS and his play calling, the Jets have relied on the run in the past three weeks and this is what Rex want's, it would not surprise me if Rex told BS emphatically to run the ball and not rely on the kid so much.

That's why I have confidence that MS will not have the type of game that you are afraid of, as a matter of fact if I were a betting man I would bet that you will not see another game this year like the one you fear.

    that is being very kind

Being a game manager also means moving the offense when you have to and our pass offense was hideous last Sunday. Kellen Clemens was brutal at everything except handing off the ball. Just from watching that game I'd rather Brad Smith run the option than see KC back there again.

From your keyboard to God's ears.
By now it should be clear, even to a dullard like Shotty, that this is a run-first offense and there's no reason to have Sanchez forcing up bombs. After some thinking, it occurs to me that Shotty putting too much on Sanchez's shoulders accounts for at least half of his hefty INT count. I'm sure Shotty, in addition to all of us, thought Sanchez was a young Drew Brees after the 1st three weeks and that we could let fly with the air game and help sell PSLs (yeah, i'm kindova conspiracy theorist in regards to that)
But I hope now that Sanchez will earn his pay by shoving the ball in TJ's lap and throwing the occasional 10 yr curl and let this O-line/D take us to the play-offs.
I am so fugging stoked for tomorrow. I have tix to the Cinncy game and I hope it's gonna be like 2002 vs GB. I was at that game and it was the best Jets experience of my life
(sorry if this was long-winded, i woke up drunk)
