If Rex Ryan had led the Third Reich they'd still be goosestepping in Paris. That army was that loaded.
Yes!!! I want Rex making bold statement and pissing everyone off and having the team back him up. They focus and play better football when that happens. The Jets have to become villains once more of the NFL. Then they play at their best. Rex needs to morph back into the KSK Rex Ryan. That motherfucker would slap Maybin on the ass and go "Holy fuck, bustman. THAT'S GREAT HUSTLE!!!" And then go get some poon. Lockout Rex is less fun.
It was a shitty thing to say and when I first heard it I was pretty annoyed that he would say that...but then I remembered how pissed off opposing fans get when Rex says shit like this and how hilarious it is.
Your culture would be really different. And he'd be the most hated person in NY. That's who Rex is - you love him when he's yours, you hate him when he's against you.
Well if you like Rex going off the reservation, you have to take the good with the bad. And this was pretty bad. It's the first time he's ever taken a direct shot at another coach and organization like that (that dopey I didn't come to kiss BB's rings one doesn't count, since he's always praised BB as the best coach in the game).
I used to think Rex' brash comments and SB predictions were designed to motivate the Jets. But after this comment, I finally realize that Rex is a blowhard who speaks before thinking. What he said about Norv is absolutely stupid bulletin board material that continues to make Rex sound like a completely media-naive position coach rather than a HC. Woodie better muzzle him...he is hurting this team.
accidently put on the fat pantload on the FAN during his maniacal rant against Rex over this today he went to what he said were going to be "Jet calls" and talked to three of his best Midget fan pals, two callers from San Diego and then finally found one Same Old Jet Fan who agreed with him I guess there aren't that many Jet fans listening or calling the Fat Dumb Slug anymore
That's nonsense. The media didnt invent the statement, Rex said it. And what he said was ridiculous and embarrassing. Embarrassing! Its one t hing to be confident and to not be afraid to tell people you expect to win. Its a whole nother animal when you act like a big mouth retard and dont even adhere to the most basic league decorum. I mean a strength coach at a bar would be saying that. Our head coach says it to the whole country. Its embarrassing guys. Call me a faggot and blah blah...yeah, I get it. But if you really think about this one honestly, its embarrassing
I've been trying to hear an unedited version of tbe entire conversation, but the closest I could come is an obviously edited version linked to the Cimini article, with a pretty obvious splice that omits the laugh after he made the comment. So I agree that this is being eagerly blown out of proportion. I mean, come on,does anyone really think Rex was serious? Why would he call Turner? If you ask me, Turner's the one who acted like a douche, when he made an obviously trumped up and barely coherent response, prbably out of fear of looking like complete wimp. He should've said "it's nothing...Rex called and explained that it was a joke..etc."
he was asked a question and laughed while he said it. he probably honestly thinks he would of won with the chargers..(Remember, werent they 14-2 when Norv was handed the team?) rex is a genius if he did this on purpose to get attention off the players, but i dont think so this time.
