This has to be the worst post ever. What the hell has KC done to prove he is any better than Sanchez? Please tell me. You say he could Trent Dilfer this team, what proof do you have? All im asking for is proof. And also tell me why Sanchez cant be better next year why does he need sit out a year? You answer these questions reasonably i'll consider this not a total failure.
I'm not even talking about upside. I'm talking about playing right now. You guys (you and jetfanwaiting) have this idea in your head that we can just run the ball and play good defense and win the game. Theoretically, this is a great idea. However, you need the passing game in order to open up any running lanes. Clemens showed last week and against Buffalo that he is not a better quarterback than Sanchez. Sanchez made some good throws today and his poor decisions really were not the downfall of the Jets. It just amazes me how people have this fascination with the backup quarterback and think he is the savior of the team. WE HAVE SEEN THIS GUY PLAY FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS AND HE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING.
You haven't seen the Jets lose because of bad QB play before? The kid is a rookie who has been handled badly by a rookie HC and a young OC. He has a ton of talent and seems to have a good work ethic. In case you missed it we blew 3 FG's and the D with the right D called allowed Tony Gonzalez the only threat on the football field for Atlanta to get wide open on 4th down which ends the game if they don't blow the coverage.
The D slept through the first half of the Jax game and then layed down with the lead late in the 4th. The D was terrible against NE as well as the first Dolphins game. The STs cost us the 2nd Miami game and this one as well. This team couldn't put a full game together consistently and that is why we are 7-7.
Personally I'd like to see Ainge get some burn in the last game if the season is over. The kid has the size, arm, and moxie to be a good QB. Unfortunately he'll never get a serious look on this team. Then again, I think the Ryan / Sanchez love-fest is over.
i belive that you are wrong....anytime you throw a pick that means that you have lost an opportunity to score and im not even taking into consideration the field position that was lost. any time the offense turns it over it is NEVER EVER something that we as fans should try to cover up. sanchez is a turnover machine, and i hope and pray that he doesnt take turnovers as lightly as you.
thats why he belongs on the bench...... its difficult to handle guiding a rookie player period... let alone one starting at qb in new york city...
He's not going to the bench and I suppose guys like you will continue to root against him. I'm looking forward to the day when he is carrying this team and some of the guys like you who are hating on him disappear.
I don't want to see JetsFanWaiting posting until 2013. I don't ever want to see AbdulSalam posting again.
Riiiiight. Because Mark Sanchez has not lost games for us this season. Ok buddy, keep believing that.
Well "one bit" is not correct, I agree, was just typing in a hurry. My bad. What I meant to say that Jacksonville didn't get any points out of the TO as they fumbled just after gaining possession and infact Sanchez even got the field position back with his pass to Edwards, but then he fumbled. Ofcourse every mistake one makes will have a negative effect on the teams and how it fares, but all in all Sanchez played well enough to win in that game.
Riiiiight. Because our D and STs has not lost games for us this season. Ok buddy, keep believing that. Nowhere did I say that Sanchez has not cost us games this year. I'm just not too dumb to see that he is not the only one who has cost us games this year. Unfortunately you are though.
biggest factors in todays loss: 1) missed fg's 2) drive killing penalties 3) inabililty to run 4) putting sanchez in a position to have to make a play if the fg's are made, the jets win. when the jets asked mark to step it up, he did... only to undo his work with idiotic penalties. putting sanchez in a position to win the game is interesting and fun for fans, because it is fun to see if he has it in him at this stage in his career... but it is not and cannot be the best situation for the jets to be in. during the last drive, sanchez sliding causing the clock to run and using up a time out is evidence that he is unexposed and young. i don't see sanchez as the main problem in this loss.
gotcha, i understand where you are going now. sometimes turnovers do not hurt the score board, but they dont help put points on our side either.
As you put your question that way, the answer would be no. We are not losing games because of Sanchez. In the last three games he's played, he's played well enough to win. Not spectacular or great, but well enough to win. If you would've asked "Have we lost games because of Sanchez?" then the answer would be yes. @NO, @NE, and if you want to vsBUF, but that was more Schotty's fault due to his inept playcalling. Edge made the 100% call about your tunnel vision,if your blaming Sanchez on each of the seven losses that we have so far this season.
