I'll say this... I bought in... I freaked out, yet I'm even buying into Tebow...

Heck I even think Hunter can do the job if the 2 Guards and Center stay healthy and Brick steps up...

    BUT...............

With The lack of Depth or top tier talent at OL, WR, RB and even TE especially blocking Te.

If this offense can't get out of it's own way again this year then I'm with anyone and everyone who wants to grab a pitchfork and storm Tannys house....

If this offense is for shit then Tanny should be gone or at the very least on a 1 more year Hot Seat.

    Pitchfork is Ready.

It's funny because the Jets had one of the best OLs in the league for many years. We currently have one of if not the best center's in football. Yet, Tanny has let half of the line go to crap.

    Mitch?

    It's expertmech ;)

The problem is that even in Wins, we're looking at a probable UGLY games... Ulcer inducing games where they try to squeek out wins verse mediocre teams..

If you win that way, ummm, ok Good luck in the playoffs.. If you play that way and lose.

    I"M GETTING MY FREAKING PITCHFORK!!!!!

    ;)

I've often seen "experts" like Matt Williamson pan the Jets OL even in the Good Years - and his #1 beef was Always DEPTH...

Honestly, in those good years the Jets OL was remarkably healthy. And to me if Mangold and the Guards stayed healthy last year it still might have been not a major concern like it is...

But, the Good teams like the Giants and Pats last year have OL injuries, plug the next guy in and keep on truckin... Because the rest of those teams are solid and they have depth... When you have a mediocre RB, no blocking TE's and lack Targets for your QB it's hard to mask OL issues.

Probably as soon as dark siders stop using Sanchez' last 3 games of the season to define the entire year/his career.

The Pats OL is in much worse shape than ours. Not saying ours looked good but the Pats OL will not be good just because they are the pats mark my words this will be a down year for the Pats and they will fighting to make the playoffs.

we do have a TE who can block! His name is TARREN LLOYD. That is all he did at Utah State. OL depth will cease to be an issue this season. Schlauderaff, Vlad, Howard and possibly Kroul will provide depth. Griffin will be on the PS as well.

BRICK was a s bad as Hunter last year yet you have failed to mention that! For whatever reason Sanchez was woefully inaccurate last year. Throwing to DE's does not quite cut it.. How can any receivers look great or even good if that keeps up? Yet Kerley played pretty well. He did emerge last year! This year we have White and Hill. One will emerge and so will PATRICK TURNER. Eron Riley and / or Schilens might as well. You also forgot to mention dexter Jackson. none are houshold names but who knows what will happen. Its just sad to read the constant woe is me and Doom and Gloom with the Jets! This team can surprise many of you and me too! Its up to SANCHEZ to take a step up to the next level. If he does the receiving will NOT be a problem! You also forgot to include Keller as a good receiver and McKnight as a good receiver out of the backfield. plus we are going to be a GROUND and POUND team! How deep do you suggest our receiving group be? Holmers, Kerley, Hill, Turner, White,,Schilens, or Riley rounds out the last position. Not too shabby!

So you're saying the Patriots OL will suck just because they are the Patriots? I'm having a hard time taking this entire post seriously.

I dont understand all the hate the Jets are getting going into this season.

Did Tannenbaum undervalue the WR position going into TC this year? Probably, but I think they believe Hill is going to emerge as that number 2 WR/Deep threat that this team has been missing. If Hill steps up then there shouldnt be a huge problem in that area, Kerley will slide into the slot where he has the ability to shine and some combination of Turner, Schilens, and White will round out the group. Thats not terrible if Hill steps up and since the Jets drafted him in round 2 im sure their expecting him to.

Right tackle is a huge problem. Tannenbaum tried to address it by trading for Otah but he wasnt healthy. I have confidence that when final cuts come around the Jets are going to be looking for a possible upgrade at that spot if its available and makes sense.

They've worked on improving the safety position and improving the pass rush by bringing Maybin back and drafting Couples. Does this team still have problems? Absolutely but their arent many teams who dont have questions heading into the season.

If the Jets defense plays the way it's capable of playing and the Offense can do a decent job I still think this is a 10+ win team.

If you'd stop denying history.....We are talking about 2 of the last 3 years...not 2 of the last 5 or 6.

And the hand brake that was on the offense, is now helping St.Louis ruin Sam Bradford.

Nice Avvy. How did you airbrush out the Offensive Lineman behind him?

I wish I was as smart as those of you who can diagnose the season as a failure after one preseason game.

I think the sacks collectively and the awareness that he could be blasted at any moment had a major factor in Sanchez and poor his decision making.

Also there was some injury on the Line and Hunter definitely got exposed as below average. The offense Sucked last year! Moments Of excellence , but far below their potential.
