Nope, no sarcasm. A tough, legit defense means we'll be in every game, like today. Worst day ever for an offense, 6 ints, 2 fumbles, 3 ints in the EZ, on and on, and we were still in it with 6 mins left in the game. Even average offense and we win going away. It's hard to see it with today and all, but it's there.
This will never happen but we should draft a QB every round next year and give one of them a game and stick with the one who performs because the way we've been doing it has never worked ...
Brutal performance by the offense and the defense could not stop drives. Fitz was a INT-operator out there. Its such a bad game that I can't even get mad. Losing week 1 bugs me more but I won't give up yet. Out schedule coming up looks rough, but if we at all consider ourselves a legit playoff team then they have to show up and beat these other teams.
Go watch or listen to the post game,,,,,he said it ! Everyone at home wanted Fitz out of the game,,,except the coach ,,,,,,btw this game got so out of hand that lost in the mess is how badly the coach handled the end of the first half and use of his time outs ! No one even asked about that because there was too much other crap to sift thru,,,,,,,,10 days to get ready for this game and this is what you trot out there ?
Embarrassing game today, and really sucked the life out of me along with most of my enthusiasm for the season. This team is sad.
The defense was not good today. Only Andy Reid's conservative playcalling stopped the Chiefs. And I'm one of the more positive posters and actually think they're going to win next week. But the defense needs to play better.
Exactly, this was straight out of Rex Ryan 101 how to coach manual. No changes of poor performers, strategy, and piss poor clock management.
Haha you are optimistic. No only will we not win every game we will not win next week. Its one thing to be a homer but why come on here a say ridiculous things like we are gonna win 13 in row. Our defense is above average nothing more. Watch the buffalo game if you dont understand this.
Yep, everyone can tell you Fitz will start throwing into triple coverage and rack up ints when down by a bunch. So what does Bowles do? Changes nothing. They beat the Bills because Rex changes nothing, and they got beat here doing it themselves.
I watched the Bills game. The Bills didn't make any adjustments nor did they really have to. Rex's defensive scheme worked from the outset, Arizona never really came up with anything that worked. Arizona couldn't stop the run. There was really nothing special about it, McCoy just ran and they didn't stop him. Tyrod Taylor was marginal but pretty much all the main receivers were injured. That's one of Rex's things though, sometimes he puts together a defensive strategy that just works. Arizona had no answer to it for the outset.
Arians didn't really make any adjustments or if they did their run defense is horrific, but I didn't really notice them trying anything different offensively or defensively. They were just awful. To be fair Carson Palmer looked worse than Fitzpatrick. Most of the Ftiz picks were tipped or forced into coverage, there was at least a receiver there. Palmer was just horrifically inaccurate, 3 of his picks weren't even close to a receiver, the 4th was a stupid force it type thing like Fitz tries. Whereas the Jets game was badly coached, they also caught bad breaks. Arizona was badly coached with nothing that would have gone their way. Rex did nothing overly special, just a lot of changing up of blitzes. Same thing he did last year that got Brady all confused in the New England vs Bills game.
This place is going to be a train wreck after next Sunday and a full blown disaster the following week.
Carson Palmer "is who we think he is." But, don't count Arizona out. RW's injury could change everything in the NFC West and, in the end, I don't think they have to worry too much about the Rams. or 'niners, who might now turn to Kaepernick..
I actually logged on this morning expecting a melted logo, threads on fire, graffiti on member profiles and multiple casualties
