Howard challenges Hunter at RT

    My speculation is they told Hunter he lost the starting job and gave him a day off....that's why Hunter was excused from practice. I think we are going with the young lad unless we make a move.......

    The starting RT for game 1 is not on the roster right now. We have to go find someone's leftovers. Still should be an improvement over Hunter.

    Some times there are no moves to make, particularly in a tight cap year.

    there are absolutely moves to make, and we have enough cap space to accommodate the type of moves we are talking about.

    tanny already said himself when the roster cut downs come we can expect something of a "mini draft"

    I was totally gonna dig up this thread and eat crow.

    I still truly dont think Howard starts over him.

    I think it was their way of calming the shitstorm we got going on over here saying WFH wont be the damn starter.

    Now they go out and find a starting RT.

    Ill truly be shocked if Howard starts opening day against Mario Williams.

    I suspect Holly Mangold would be a pretty solid improvement over a lot of NFL linemen.

    I think Howard deserves a shot. He's certainly better than Hunter---so my cat---but he's big, young, and playing well so far.

    He has my support. I'm annoyed with the constant influx of free agents, though. Lets run with what we have at this point, rather than continuing to snatch up left overs. I'd be stoked if we didn't bring in any outside FAs next offseason, and used rather than traded all our draft picks.

    Not sure if this has been posted, but I heard on the radion 660 WFAN that Hunter is benched and Howard will start this Sunday. Im sure its all over the net by now,, but in case someone wanted to know... Go Jets
