The wrong guy for the wrong team...Can't fault him for taking the financial security, but in a perect world, should have stayed in school, rather than come to the Jets...
Panting his face in the ground like a perpetual spoiled brat, after removing it from Brandon Moores ASS.
Assuming he leaves this year or next, I'll remember him as the guy who could get it done when things were going his way, and tanked when they didn't. He had too much success early on. Even in 2009, a series of fortunate breaks towards the end got us into the playoffs and masked what was actually some bad signs early on. His first three games he won Rookie of the Week 3 weeks in a row, and probably was believing his own press. Then Darren Sharper pick-sixes him 99 yards and it took him 7 games to mentally pull himself out of the tailspin (I don't count beating Jamarcus Russell as a bounceback during that stretch). All that being said, if he does leave I think the reality check might be the best thing that ever happens to his career. He got handed success at USC, he got handed a team that frankly didn't even need a good QB, and he just assumed this game was a cakewalk. The wake up call and a change of scenery at some point might be the only thing that turns him around.
+1 and yep he looks real good, too bad for all his skills he is not mentally tough and a not a Warrior with a killer instinct
unfulfilled potential. some good moments that made you think the future was bright in 2010 followed by a downfall which was both on him and him being poorly handled. and the ass fumble. even if he were to somehow turn his career around, there's no living the ass fumble down
Probably in 3 different segments. That opening game in Houston against the Texans, that brilliant play and a feeling of something great, Him running off the field with the ball after going to the AFC champion ship game in 2009 and 2010 and then him running into butts, throwing the ball to the other team to avoid getting hit and falling apart. Mark Sanchez a guy with all the talent just couldn't do it... The Jets got to another promising player. Where forever doomed... 666 the number of the beast!
he was the equal of a rookie qb for arizona. :shit: can't win sb without making the playoffs, so it ain't gonna happen. in the immortal word of qb coach paulie walnuts " fugetabouit"....
Like with anything its about how he finished, not how he started. Sure, we can remember how Vince Young lit it up during his first year in the NFL and we thought he was going to revolutionize the position but he will be remember as the guy who was a #1 bust, mentally weak, being booed by Titan fans, etc. I honestly wish Sanchez success as a starter on another team or a backup (because I think this staff ruined whatever potential he had to begin with) but I don't think his memory will be remember fondly with the Jets.
Sadly, by doing that, you forget some of this franchise's most successful years. Speaks volumes of the franchise
Yet another dumb thread. Sanchez is still here, We are beating the Jags tomorrow and Sanchez will back next season.
