I will go into the season as I do every year, full of hope, full of beer, and full of myself. I will be talking shit to my friends who root on the Pats, Fins, Bills, Vagiants & Cowgirls. I will be preaching to my sons that to root on the Jets is a thing of beauty, and shows how tough (or stupid) they really are.

Meanwhile, I will be listening to my wife abuse me ... threaten me that 15 years ago she was tricked into being a Jets fan (we started dating the summer of '98). She will say that any judge would grant her 100% of my earnings, the kids, the house, and my balls simply for the abuse she has endured as a Jets fan.

I'll reserve judgement until the summer when we know exactly who will be on the team. I have no problem with a 2-14 year if it will set us up for future, sustained success

If the team is truly horrible next year, I will cope the same way I coped last year. With the SNY Postgame Show. I will laugh my ass off as Adam Schein goes ballistic, Ray Lucas wears a look of disgust, and Joe Klecko just looks plain sad. I swear, when the games were going badly last year, my wife would look at me and say, "Well, at least the postgame will be funny. I wonder if Ray Lucas will get up and walk off the set?".

    That's how I'll cope, if it's bad.

For now, I have hope. It's the same hope I've always had, and the rational part of my brain knows that it'll go away after a game or two, but hey.

THIS. The SNY Postgame was the best part of games last year.
And will most likely provide entertainment again this year.

I've been a Jet's fan since they were the Titans, am a season ticket holder and have been through all the ups and downs. This is just another cycle. I've never seen such a bunch of whiners and bitchers before the team is nearly put together.

Cant wait to see the Sanchez loyalists see him come out and throw a INT in the first 5 passes of the season and then its all downhill from there on TGG.

    Expecting nothing but some humor.

At least you got to see them win a Super Bowl live/on tv and feel rewarded.

For some of us, we've all been shitted on since we got cursed as Jets fans

The only way to remain sane throughout the season will be to stay away from this board. Gonna be a brutal season.

Expectations will be low so it shouldn't be to hard to exceed them. Enjoy watching the team hopefully get better and give us hope for the future. In this league there are surprise teams every year, I have not given up hope on 2013 though I expect we won't be very good.

the post gameshow on SNY is perhaps my favorite show. The flip side of any loss is you know the show will be great.

I love it when they go back to the panel after Rex's post game presser after a loss. I am sitting there just amazed at what Rex said, and can't believe my ears. Then Ray, Adam and even Joe let me know my worst fears about Rex were realistic. Better to have fears than think I don't understand what is going on.
