Cotchery is the #1 WR but he's a possession receiver. Braylon is our deep threat. And, even with all the miserable drops, he's better than Clowney.

OP: while i made this thread out of frustration, Braylon does bring much to our offense.

1- eventhough he drops passes, he HAS to be defended big time. He draws double teams routinely. He has gotten wide open for a possible 7pts way too many times to ignore him just because he 'may' drop the ball. Every team we play MUST devote a lot of their defense to cover him, 'just in case'.

he may not score, but he distracts 20% of the other teams defense on every play. Rex attributed this to our surge in our running game.

2- he's a true gammer in the running game. he blocks with all his effort on every play. He draws double teams even on running plays, then blocks the fuck out of whoever is on him. something Randy Moss has NEVER done is give a shit about running plays.

so, yes, we'd all like to see Braylon make the ESPN highlight real every week, but behind the scenes he is still accounting for much of our #1 offense.
