8-10 wins seems realistic... IF our QB play is NFL average, we are good for at least 8 wins.. Last year brooksie had only maybe 3 or 4 average nfl games... and we still wound up 6-10
I want to know how a team that went 4-12 and lost many of its best players in the offseason is going to suddenly go 8-8. I guess if you think losing good players makes you a better team...
Whoever wrote this crap had no knowledge of the Jets' cap situation. What big-time FA talent did we bring in? We lost a lot more talent than we got. The draft should help, but the players we get are mostly guys who, if they make an impact at all, will make their impact in 2007/2008 and beyond.
The OL is even worse now than it was last season. I'd like to see how Curtis is going to have a resurgence at age 33.
well we haven't gotten to the signing of free agents or the draft yet... once the season gets here, i believe out team will be capable of 8-8 yes.. if we started the season today, we'd be about 3-13
You think we're going to get that much immediate help out of the draft? Free agency started over a week ago. Most of the useful players are signed.
we'll sign a few players who are underrated and we won't sign any BLOCKBUSTER people therefore keeping our cap situation nice and easy... and yeah, i think we'll have a really nice draft i expect us to have 1 or 2 holes when the season starts...#1 CB and 1 OL
we will win 4-8 games next season, and i'd rather it be 4. the ONLY slight way we get more than 6 is becuz of our schedule. its one of the easiest in the league. and RobA, i dont even know how to react to that prediction, thats just insane and totally off the wall
Now I really see why you won that award, hope I have some of that optimistic mentality when the season starts
I posted my response to a similar thread in the 'Predictions' forum before the last gg crash. Last year I predicted 11-5, and look what happened. Hoy, the pressure is killing me. I...oooof...I...7-9. Ow! My head hurts.
I've said this before, the bones of a good team are still in place from 2004 and I honestly think we will surprise a few people this year. Play-offs here we come.
This thread just goes to show you how much people love to just pull shit out of their asses. We have not even had the draft yet, the FA signing season season isnt even in effect, no training camp, we dont even know what offesnse were running, or even who the starteer is at QB. HOw the hell can anyone say anything about how many wins we'll have next year. I know everyone is getting bored with the draft talk but geeez....
i like how we are rebuilding and we still are getting 10 wins in everyones hopes...but im the same i voted around 9, i believe we still can be good, hell our offense cant get worse than last year and our defense is only getting more mature
Me thinks 7-8 wins. This is optimistic considering the offense and defense have all new personnel coaching them. If Chad Pennington can return to form, the Jets have a good draft, I think they could possibly win 8-9 games (the Dolphins won 9 w/ Gus Ferotte).
