Patriots 12 - 4 Miami 9 - 7 Jets 8 - 8 Buff 5 - 11 Ndew England was better than both SB teams this year and in 2006 they will be healthy. Miami made a bad choice with Dante but will still make a playoff push. Jets will improve but the playoffs are a year away. Buffalo is Buffalo.
It's amazing how so many people see us with 8 or less wins next year. I've tried explaining numerous times how we had a great team last season that just had so many injuries. Had we been healthy we would've easily been a playoff team, and that is with a crippled QB and a brainless FO. I found this post from another jet site a little while back while browsing. I just want to share this with you guys, this is pretty much exactly how I feel. I know this team will be great in 06.
Uuuh Chicago had/has one of the best D's in the league. It was them and not their QB's/FA's that did it for them. Also alot of our "superbowl" nucleus is gone(Mawae, Law, Abraham will be). Sure parity is in the NFL and worst to 1st is possible. I just think it will take AT LEAST one complete season/off season for the new coaching staff to a - assess talent that's here. b - put that talent in a position to succeed. c - fill in the cracks where necessary.
I don't agree with you, but Man I hope you're right. And if you are you can tell everyone of us off if you'd like. :jets:
I am going with 7 wins. Our schedule isnt hard but with a new coach there will be adjustments.(I rather have a 1st yr coach do so-so in yr 1, its seems when a 1st yr coach wins 10 games the first yr they are doomed.) I think we will split with the Bills and Phins We should beat the Raiders(I am predicting them the #1 pick Houston and Tenn should be wins Plus we play the NFCNorth GB:we should beat them, and the Lions? comeon. the Viqueens and Browns are 2 games we can win but I may be generous with the teams above.
10-6 or 11-5 and here's why:the following is the list of teams we play next year: Buffalo (2), Miami (2), New England (2), Houston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Oakland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Green Bay, Minnesota, Cleveland There is no reason why we can't beat Buffalo once if not twice, Miami once, Houston, Detroit, Oakland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, GB, Minn., Cleveland. That would give us 10 or 11 depending on the Buffalo series! Hell we'll probably even split with NE!
I am grad that most people are voting with their heads and not their hearts. I voted 5-6 and feel anything more the 8 would be a miracle. With the QB & RB positions up in the air as to the starters and yet another new offensive to learn we will struggle to score which is nothing new.
I agree with the QB position but if we get a good OL via the draft & FA then I think Curtis will be fine!!! Look what he did last year behind a bunch of guys that couldn't block my grandmother.
wow i think too many people are getting out of hand here. We are in rebuilding and i hope u guys dont take it out on the team when then dont perform like u think. (EG nearly 25% of people think we will win more than 9). I think that anything over 8 is extremely good but it will be more like 6
I just think we'll be alot better then most people think we'll be....Our D is going to be better this year and there is no way the O can be any worse... Just before last season started people were picking us to go to the SB, and I don't think the players that we lost this off season were the reason why we were predicted to do that. Just my opinion though!
actually now i think its 8-8 we split Buff. and miami. WINS: Lions Texans Raiders Browns Packers Titans LOSSES: Bears Colts Jaguars Vikings Patriots(2) C'mon guys this is realistic - think about it
honestly if pennington stays healthy i think we go 8-8 at worst...problem is that happens every other year but seeing as it is that other year i say about 11-5 b/c of the easy schedule and my positive outlook it will be fun to watch next season b/c we have nothing to lose...we are suppose to suck...this makes winning so much sweeter
I'm not convinced Pennington will be good. Two injuries like that. I don't know if he can be the same again. We were a flat-out better team last year than we are this year. Now Mawae, Fabini, Law, Abraham, and others are gone. Curtis is yet another year older. He can't be much worse, but I don't see how he's going to get better. First year of the new regime. Transition won't be easy, especially if we play a lot of 3-4. 34 would be stupid with our personnel, but Mangini looks like a stubborn one. So the roster is worse, but the schedule should be at least a little bit easier. So 3-5 wins is my expectation.
I am guessing 6-7, but who really knows for sure, I do not really care it this point, even if no imporvement shows I still think we are on the way to be a solid franchise
