Brett Favre has not made this season any worse. We are still having a decent season. Just one season ago we finished up at 4-12 and this season we have the potential to finish 10-6. For Brett's first season as the starting quarterback of this team in an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar teammates and coaching system I would stay that he has done a decent job. He has handled the media very well each time he has stood in front of them. He doesn't sugar coat anything and tells it like it is. I would like to see him come back for one more season and have a full offseason with the team and get prepared for 2009.

I know that his shoulder has been hurting him for a short time and if his body is clearly showing that he cannot continue to play then he should let us know very early so we have time to test free agency and the draft if need be.

This is one fan that does not want to see Favre retire if he feels that he is still capable of getting the job done. He has said that he enjoys playing for our team and it has been great having him on our team this season. He knows that we are on the verge of becoming a good team. We just need to make a few changes and we could be right there with the best teams out there! (I do not think that we are far off even now).

We should be appreciative of the fact that he is on our team. We all need to remember that #4 is not just our starting quarterback. He is also a mentor to our other quarterbacks Kellen Clemens and Brett Ratliff as well. I am sure that they have learned a lot of things from him this season.

Let's hope that we make the playoffs this weekend and speak about #4 later!
