Been a fan since 1978. My parents just got back from the Super Bowl III reunion, and brought my brother and I back an autogragh ball of the entire team. The told my dad if the Jets ever make it back to the playoffs, that they would fly those guy back for the game, since the Jets hadn't been back to the playoffs since the 1969 -70 season. I remember watching every game that was on TV down in Florida and checking the paper ever Monday to see if they won. So it was Christmas Eve, 1981 and my mom went to get the mail. In the mail that day was a letter from the Jets in regards to the PLAYOFFS!!!!! They had to call the Jets front office by 5PM that day, but we didn't get our mail until after 5PM. Somehow she got through, and stated that there would be 2 tickets waiting for my dad. That was best Christmas gift ever!!!!!!!!! It was my first Jets game and I still have the ticket stub to this day. After the game was over, we met up with some of this old teammates. It will be a day I never forget!!!! GO JETS!!!!!!
